Ililhyang Euljiro-jeom
일일향 을지로점 Ililhyang is written 日日香, 'fragrance every day' — one post quotes the house motto 'add a fresh aroma every day'.

A Chinese restaurant on the third floor of the iM Financial Center by the Cheonggyecheon stream, between Jonggak and Euljiro 1-ga stations. It is the Euljiro branch of Ililhyang, which started in Apgujeong; one post says it opened in autumn 2023. At lunch people come for 9,000-won jjajangmyeon and 11,000-won jjamppong; for dinners and gatherings, sweet-and-sour pork at 32,000, the stuffed-shiitake eohyang-donggo at 45,000, and courses from 38,000, in the hall or a private room. We read 30 posts from April 2025 to September 2026: 21 describe a meal there, 6 only introduce or list it, and 3 are about other shops in the same building.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The private rooms define how this place is used: 13 of the 21 visit posts mention them. The terms were written differently — five or more people at 50,000 won a head (July 2025), course orders only (February 2026), rooms for 4 to 45 people by reservation only (June 2025). Five posts mention booking, and one describes a screened-off semi-private area in the hall.
- Lunch waits are split. Two posts waited: about 10 minutes on the list after arriving around 11:30, and a sizeable queue already at 11:40. Three walked straight in: 11:50 on a weekday, another weekday lunch, and a weekend lunch when the place was nearly empty. One post mentions a sofa area for waiting.
- The sweet-and-sour pork is thick-cut: five posts said so, one noting the thickness was all meat, another likening it to tonkatsu. Eight posts described something — the pork, kkanpunggi, eohyang-donggo or dumplings — as crisp.
- Nine posts found the portions large: two people with noodles plus sweet-and-sour pork left food behind, the 11,000-won jjamppong-bap was 'really a lot', and four people ordering mains, a dish and dim sum were stuffed.

- Six posts mention the floor-to-ceiling windows looking toward Cheonggyecheon; several chose a window seat, and one notes sofa seating on the opposite side.

Only one post wrote about parking from experience: an hour validated in the building garage, which is very small, and the public lot next door costs 7,200 won an hour. The 'one hour free' in five other posts is copied listing text.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 8 (of 21 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 8 of 21 posts |
Eight posts say they took the elevator up to the third floor. One warns that the stairs beside the sign at the back of the building only reach the second floor; go through the small door next to them and take the elevator on the right. Two posts suggest the side escalator because of elevator queues, but their wording is nearly identical and likely comes from the same brief.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. We only know there is an elevator — that is silence, not a no.
No post says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or split by gender. One post found the building's toilets clean; another's 'building toilets available' is copied listing text.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- On heat: one post found the jjamppong-bap hotter than Shin Ramyun, and another said the jjamppong was too spicy and the white jjamppong too salty, leaving nothing they wanted to order. The rest had no complaint.
- Opening hours appear only as copied listing blocks. Nine posts agree on weekdays 11:20-21:30 with a 15:00-17:00 break and Sundays closed. Six give Saturday closing as 21:00; one says 21:30. Four put last orders at 20:30 weekdays and 20:00 Saturday; one gives a single 20:00. Check before you go.
- Price opinions split: three posts found it expensive (worth it but pricey; higher than a neighbourhood Chinese place; pricier again than last year), one called it honest for an upscale Chinese restaurant, one did not conclude. Posts from May 2025 to August 2026 show no price changes on the same dishes. Single dishes run 9,000-16,000 won; platters 32,000-55,000.
- Not every post counted. Two (October 2025, May 2026) are boilerplate with wrong details — 'closed weekends', 'varies by branch' — and were not counted as visits. One post disclosed sponsorship. Seven posts list the phone number 0507-1498-7754, and room bookings are said to be by phone.
