CAFÉ SINOLA
시노라 서촌점 Sinora Seochon-jeom
Compiled from 11 blog posts read in fullSources →
A small café at 116 Jahamun-ro in Cheongun-dong, Jongno — a 15 to 20 minute uphill walk from Gyeongbokgung Station. There is no espresso machine: coffee is hand-drip only (7,000 won), music comes off LPs, and the food is brunch — French toast (14,000 won since April 2026), sandwiches, soups, an omelette. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 13 are about this Seochon branch and 12 of those describe a visit. The other 17 are about the Bukchon and Yeonhui branches or a neighbouring shop, and we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seating is very limited. Four posts call it small, and two counted the same layout: one four-person sofa, four two-tops and a single seat. Another counted five seats in all with only one table for three, and suggested coming alone or in a pair.
- Waits vary. Three posts waited this time (one team ahead at 11:30 on a Saturday; a queue even on a weekday afternoon), one found it quiet at weekend opening and on a weekday afternoon, and three only describe how the list works. Two mention chairs outside the door for waiting, and one says that in midsummer and winter you leave a phone number and they call you.
- Three posts note a separate takeout window at the front; one points out you can get coffee there without joining the seating queue.
- Food takes time. Two posts say the French toast was slow; one waited 15 to 20 minutes for it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 11 posts read) |
|---|
No post describes the floor from experience. The address says ground floor; the upstairs seating people mention belongs to the Bukchon branch.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. That means we don't know, not that it is fine.
The toilet is not inside the café. One post found it beside the takeout window, opening straight onto the pavement — lock the door — and barely big enough for one person. No other post covered it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 12 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have gone up. French toast was 12,000 won in a December 2024 post, 13,000 in June 2025 and 14,000 from April 2026. Drip coffee stayed at 7,000 won, so coffee plus French toast now comes to 21,000 won.
- Opening hours have changed. Posts up to April 2026 give 09:00-19:00 (last order 18:00), and those from February and April 2026 say closed Mondays. All three October 2026 posts list daily 08:00-17:00, last order 16:00 — copied info at the top of each post, so check before you go.
- Only one post says it came by bus. Four mention a 15 to 20 minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Station.
- Two posts went with friends and one alone; none went with family or children.
- Five posts give the same phone number, 02-733-9249. No one says whether they take reservations.
