Mingles

밍글스 Mingeulseu Mingles is the English word for mixing together; the house glosses it as a harmony of different things, Korean tradition and jang mixed with new technique.

Mingles is a Korean tasting-menu restaurant on the second floor of the Hilltop Building on Dosan-daero 67-gil in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. It serves one set course at lunch and one at dinner; posts from May 2026 on put them at 320,000 won and 420,000 won per person. The mingling pot and the jang trio dessert show up in nearly every visit, and anchovy noodles (40,000 won) can be added at dinner. We read 30 posts dated 25 July to 14 October 2026. Thirteen describe an actual meal, fourteen are Michelin or Seoul Gourmet 100 lists and a pre-visit research post, and three were about other restaurants and set aside. One account of a November 2023 lunch says the restaurant had moved here from its earlier home in the former The Chapel at Cheongdam building.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Getting in starts with the reservation. Twelve of the thirteen meal posts talk about booking, and many describe repeated failures, one after about eight months of trying, another after nearly a year. Two got seats through Catch Table cancellations or a sudden opening, and one passes on a tip that four-top tables often come free when a party falls short. Private rooms were arranged by phone in one post and by email in another.
  2. People go for occasions. Of the thirteen meal posts, eight went with a spouse or partner, four with friends and one with family. Birthdays and wedding anniversaries come up again and again, and four writers received a lettered dessert or cake; one arranged it in advance through the reservations email on the restaurant's website.
  3. Comments on the staff are specific. Seven posts praise the service: being walked to the restroom door, homemade cookies offered after a brief disturbance at the next table, plates set down in front of four guests at the same moment, a green-tea sparkling drink suggested when one guest asked for something non-alcoholic. One writer was put off that, on the same pairing, the men's glasses were poured fuller.
  4. Four posts describe the restroom: hotel-grade, toilet paper folded into a neat triangle, a hand wash one writer liked enough to photograph. One adds that it is not large but kept clean, with hand towels and room spray at the basin.
5 more
  1. Parking is valet. Three writers handed over their car, and four give the fee as 5,000 won. One warns that cars are taken only from about ten minutes before the booking, so arriving early can get you turned away; another found the valet line hectic with so many cars.
  2. There are private rooms. Two posts ate in one: three couples in a room that seats up to eight, and a party of five who booked by phone.
  3. Most found it filling. Three posts say they left full, one calling the course long and generous and another skipping dinner afterwards; one says each plate is small but the whole course adds up.
  4. Four posts note that the back of the menu lists where ingredients come from, naming suppliers such as a Jeju blue-bean doenjang, Baek Mal-sun soy sauce, Gi Sun-do gochujang and Fritz coffee. Nearly every meal post also mentions the basket of the day's vegetables and the tray of dried ingredients brought to the table mid-course.
  5. One writer went by subway, leaving the car at home, and walked about five minutes from Apgujeong Rodeo station. Another took a taxi so they could drink.

Getting inside

Second floor4 of 13 posts
Lift to the floor1 of 13 posts

The restaurant is on the building's second floor. Four meal posts mention going up, and one notes a sign inside the ground-floor glass door directing guests to the elevator, with a Mingles marker next to the elevator button.

No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One post mentions an elevator, and that is all. This means we do not know, not that access is lacking.

No one says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or shared with the building, or whether it is separated by gender. One writer only mentions being escorted to the restroom door.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 14 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-133 posts in one day

2026-10-093 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices depend on when people went. The dinner menu card in May 2026 was printed with 420, and lunch posts from August to October say 320,000 won. One post published in July 2026 lists 280,000 won for lunch and 350,000 for dinner but gives no visit date, so we treat those as older prices. Pairings moved too: four glasses were 200,000 won for a visit around Valentine's Day and 220,000 from May on. One writer flatly calls it expensive; three say it is a lot of money but worth it without settling the point.
  • The restaurant has moved. A post about a November 2023 lunch says the writer had been two or three times back when it was in the former The Chapel at Cheongdam building, and that this was the first visit since the move. No one gives the date of the move. Every meal we counted is from the current Hilltop Building location.
  • Opinions on returning split. Two writers said once is enough or that they would pick Mosu next time; one had already been two or three times since the old building.
  • Bringing your own bottle is possible but not free: one party paid 150,000 won corkage on a bottle of champagne. Nobody says how many bottles are allowed.
  • Nobody describes queuing at the door. Entry is by reservation only, so no one writes about waiting in line; one writer who arrived early says the door opened at about five to twelve.
  • Opening hours come only from copied listings. The three meal posts that give hours all say closed Sundays and Mondays; one lists lunch 12:00 to 15:00 and dinner 18:00 to 22:00, another 12:00 to 22:00, and one adds that closing days may vary by month. One post gives an 11:30 lunch start, but it carries older prices, so we left it out.
  • Three posts give the phone number as 02-515-7306. Several say Catch Table opens dates two months ahead on the 1st of each month, but one says at midnight and another at 2 pm. Private rooms and anniversary lettering were arranged separately by phone or email.
