SW Convention Center occupies the whole eleventh floor of a building directly outside Dongmyo station. It sets two quite different tables. At weekends it is a wedding venue and the banquet room feeds the guests; on weekday lunchtimes that same room sells ₩8,000 buffet tickets to anyone who walks in, with the menu changing daily. Weddings run in a single hall at seventy-minute intervals, with the hall, bridal room, banquet room, café and cash machine all on that one floor. Of the twenty-three posts we read, only eleven ate anything here — the other twelve came to choose a wedding venue and looked at the food without tasting it. The posts run from October 2024 to September 2026.

What sets it apart
- It is straight out of exit 6 at Dongmyo-ap. Nearly every writer leads with it — ten seconds from the exit, eight metres, literally no walk at all. Lines 1 and 6 meet there, and two writers add that it is a five-to-seven-minute walk from exit 4 at Dongdaemun. Exit 6 is stairs, though. One writer finds the climb a nuisance; another says to use exit 8 instead, which has an escalator, and a third warns that exit 7 has a lift but still leaves you with steps. Three writers recommend the train over driving, because the free parking runs out.
- The weekday lunch buffet is ₩8,000. Two people paid ₩7,000, in December 2024 and February 2025; the one who came in September 2026 paid ₩8,000 and noted the old price. All three call it cheap against a city where lunch now runs past ten thousand. Cards only, say two of them. When the couples touring the venue use the word 'value' they mean something else entirely — the hall fee and the per-head catering rate, neither of which a guest ever pays. Exactly one writer calls the place expensive: someone comparing it side by side with a hall in Seongbuk-gu, who judged the price high for what came with it and signed elsewhere.
- Everything is on that one eleventh floor — ceremony hall, bridal room, banquet room, café, cash machine, parents' make-up room, lockers — and no writer has to describe a lift ride between them. It is the feature they praise most, along with the size of the lobby. What exactly is roomy, though, they disagree on: the lobby and banquet room, yes, but the hall itself seats 180, and two writers find it tight past 250 guests or simply modest next to the lobby outside it. On the banquet tables one writer finds the gaps generous and another finds them close. The two who came for the weekday buffet describe the same room as having space to spare even at the lunchtime rush.
- There is a clock on the meal. Weddings run seventy minutes apart, so the banquet room is sliced into sittings: three writers were told food opens ten minutes before the ceremony and the table is yours for two hours. One guest was startled to be given until 14:50 after a ceremony that ended at two, though nobody was actually turned out. The writer who came for a tasting and then signed calls this the venue's real weakness — for an eleven o'clock wedding the window is 10:30 to 12:00, which leaves very little once the ceremony itself is done. Staff told her they do not evict anyone, only start clearing for the next sitting. One writer notes that once you leave the room you cannot go back in.
1 more
- The draft beer is free and unlimited, from a tap in the banquet room, with soju, wine and highballs on the same terms by several accounts and no post saying otherwise. It is what the touring couples exclaim over most — one already plotting to hit the tap the moment the ceremony ends, another wondering whether the bride herself is allowed a glass. Only one guest records actually drinking it, over ice. Coffee is the one thing missing: three writers went looking for a machine, found none, and were sent out to the lobby café, where guests pay for their own.

A big car park behind a narrow entrance, with ninety minutes free. Five hundred spaces across four basement levels. Four writers call the ramp tight, and all four drove in themselves — a mid-size saloon sweated through it, a large SUV got in with complaints from the father-in-law, and one writer feared for the paintwork before deciding it was fine. After ninety minutes it is ₩1,000 per ten. A seventy-minute ceremony plus the meal overruns that: two guests record paying ₩5,000 and ₩7,000 on the way out, and one of them, told that relatives had paid ₩4,000, advises sorting out registration on arrival rather than at the barrier. The lunch-buffet crowd gets no free allowance at all — ₩3,000 for the first half hour, then ₩1,000 per fifteen minutes. One writer also warns that the queue to leave is long at weekends, since the building sits in the middle of Dongmyo's flea and toy markets.

Getting inside

Not the ground floor, not the first — the eleventh. The venue takes the whole top floor of a mixed-use building, and everything is on it: hall, banquet room, bridal room, café, cash machine, toilets. Once you are up there you never change floors. Getting up is by lift: four in the central bank (one writer counts six including the service car, another eight), two of which reach the car park while the rest start at street level, plus a pair inside the banquet room so that diners go straight down. Whether you can walk up, and where the stairs are, no post says — not one of the twenty-three used anything but a lift. Arriving by train, exit 6 at Dongmyo-ap is stairs and exit 8 has an escalator. Two writers note that the clothing and toy arcades on the lower floors are shut at weekends.
Eleven floors up, but the lifts keep pace. Most writers count four in the central bank; one makes it six including the service car, one says eight — the number does not settle. Two things do: two of them run down to the car park while the rest start at street level, and the banquet room has a pair of its own, so guests who have finished eating go straight down without returning to the lobby. Several writers say they never waited.
Not one post says whether a wheelchair or a pushchair gets in. The words for a doorsill, a ramp or a step do not appear anywhere in the twenty-three. What can be said is this much: it is the eleventh floor, there are several lifts and two of them reach the car park, and the hall, the banquet room and the toilets are all on that one level. Coming by train, exit 6 is stairs and exit 8 has an escalator. We write neither yes nor no here because nobody looked.
Only two posts mention a toilet at all. Both place one inside the banquet room, and one adds that there is another by the bridal room. A third writer, a guest, says only that it was spotless and had fresh flowers in it. Nobody reports separate men's and women's rooms or an accessible stall — the phrase appears in three posts, but all three lifted it from the same Naver facilities list, so we have not counted it. On whether the bridal room has its own toilet the posts flatly contradict each other (one says yes, three say no); one writer was told the room was due for refurbishment, which may explain it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only eleven of the twenty-three posts ate anything here. Three came for the weekday buffet, five ate as wedding guests, one came for a pre-contract tasting, and two had eaten here at somebody's wedding before returning to tour the venue. The other twelve came shopping for a wedding hall and only looked — four of them say so outright, one admitting the line about the ribs being delicious is something she was told. So when post after post calls this a place famous for its food, the source of that reputation is usually somebody else's mouth. All eleven who did eat were content, but the coolest verdicts also come from them: good when it is good, with nothing in between; above average without being remarkable.
- Nobody describes standing in a line. The two lunch-buffet writers who mention seating both walked straight in: one arrived around one o'clock and found plenty free, though she credits the rush being over and cannot say what it is like at noon; the other says the room is large enough that a seat is never a worry. On the wedding side there is nothing to queue for — guests are seated by sitting. Two writers do find the lobby crowded when two ceremonies overlap, and one waited at the soft-serve machine. Whether a line forms at the lunchtime peak, we do not know.
- Four posts were written for something in return — but not by this venue. The points came from wedding planners and bridal-prep communities, and three of the four declare it in the opening line. Not one post declares anything from the venue itself. Two say they paid their own way, one of them with a Naver receipt badge; the rest say nothing. Four more carry a referral code in the body, overlapping with those four in places. Because that arrangement pays out on sign-ups, we have counted only what each writer describes seeing with their own eyes, not the conclusion they reach.
- Four posts were taken out of the count. Two are machine-written without a visit — one filled with sentences no visitor could produce, such as a hall capacity given as a range, and with no record of eating and no prices; the other opening on the sacred promise of marriage before pasting in the venue's Naver facilities list. One is a flower shop advertising a congratulatory wreath it delivered to this address. One is a day out around the Dongmyo toy market whose only line about this place is that a friend used the car park; the meal in it was eaten elsewhere. Three more were removed before that, having no content about this place at all: a comparison of wedding halls in another district, a review of a different venue, and a contract report from a third — in each, the name appears only in a link title or a row of a shortlist.
- One writer found it loud. Music and microphone carry hard in both the hall and the banquet room, she says, enough to make conversation over dinner a strain, and advises asking about the volume when signing. The other twenty-two say nothing about sound at all — none of them calls it quiet either. We leave her account standing, but whether this is a quiet room we do not know.
- Only one writer came with a child. She found high chairs and child-sized cutlery at one side of the banquet room, and singles out the separate ticket as what she liked best: a child's rate from seven to twelve, free below six. Hers is the only post that says any of this. Two writers touring the venue describe a baby room with a sink, a microwave, a water cooler and a cot — small, they add — but it is neither a play room nor a changing station, so we have no slot for it and have not counted it. Nobody reports a nappy-changing table.
- Two sets of hours appear, and they describe different things. Three guests copied a line reading 10:00–19:00 daily into the top of their posts; that is the wedding office's listing on Naver, and none of the three ate in that window. The three who came for the weekday buffet watched it themselves and put it at 11:30 until 13:00 or 13:30 — the earlier figure comes from the oldest post. The buffet is weekdays only. Two writers note it does not run on Saturday or Sunday, but since weddings fill this room every weekend we have not turned that into a closing day for the place. No post mentions a break or a last order. All three buffet writers say the week's menu arrives through a KakaoTalk channel each Monday.
