A self-service Western restaurant on Yonsei-ro 5na-gil, a short walk from Sinchon Station exit 1, spread over a whole building from the ground floor up. Two posts note it is the Sinchon branch of the Ppok Sikdang chain. You order pasta, risotto, pizza or steak on a tabletop kiosk, collect it yourself at the ground-floor pickup counter, and bring the dishes back when done. The cheapest item is aglio olio at 5,500 won; the two-person steak set has been 34,700 won since August 2026. We read 30 posts dated July 2025 to October 2026, 27 of them from people who actually ate here. The 'TV-competition chef' line is the shop's own promotion, so we don't lean on it.

What sets it apart

Ordering happens on the tabletop kiosk or tablet, and you fetch the food yourself. Eleven posts ordered on the table kiosk; when the food is ready a notice pops up and you collect it at the ground-floor pickup counter. Water, pickles and cutlery come from the self-service bar, and you get a refill cup at the counter. Five posts said the food came quickly, one saying everything arrived within ten minutes of ordering.
Of the 27 posts from people who ate here, 26 called it cheap. The bills they reported: 35,000 won for five dishes, 35,700 won for three mains and two refill cups, 38,000 won for the two-person steak set, 44,500 won for a steak set with extras, and 50,200 won for four à la carte dishes. One post (June 2026) disagreed, saying you get about as much as you pay for rather than a bargain.
Eleven posts said the place is roomy, repeatedly mentioning large tables set well apart. Three saw the terrace area off the ground floor, and many described the fountain and the palm and lemon decorations. One noted the ground-floor terrace room was well air-conditioned.

One visit at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday in October 2026 had no wait but moved upstairs because the ground floor was full; a Friday-evening visit in September found it nearly full and still walked in. A post arriving at noon said it filled up fast and both floors were full by the time they left. Three posts had booked ahead.
Pastas can be made spicy, but opinions differ on how hot that is: four posts found it pleasantly spicy, two found it hardly spicy at all.
Six posts found the portions generous and one found them small: that April 2026 post said the ricotta was skimpy, joked that male students probably stay away because portions are small, and said they wouldn't return. An August 2025 post wrote that a revamp had cut both prices and portions.
Nine posts said it's an easy walk from Sinchon Station, giving three to five minutes from exit 1.

There is seating on the second and third floors too. Ten posts sat upstairs or toured the upper floors, and three said they climbed the stairs. Two 2026 posts note the second floor has its own self-service bar and return station, but food pickup and the drinks station stay on the ground floor, so a September 2025 post found the up-and-down trips a nuisance and recommended sitting downstairs.

The registered address lists floors B1 to 4, but no post mentions a basement. Four posts ate on the ground floor, where the entrance is. Whether there is basement seating, we don't know.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift — that means we don't know, not that there isn't one. Three posts took the stairs upstairs, and one called it a tall, old building. Since food pickup is on the ground floor, sitting upstairs means using the stairs.

Two posts said the restroom is inside the restaurant; one placed it on the second floor and noted disposable mouthwash was provided.

Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in one post's copied amenity list; no one confirmed it in person. No post mentions an accessible restroom.

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

What we do not know

Opening hours, all copied from the shop's listing, agree across twenty posts: 11:00 to 21:00 every day. Twelve list a 15:30–16:30 break; four say weekdays only and one says every day. Six give last order at 20:00. Three posts from July–September 2025 list no break, so we can't tell whether it existed then.
Prices have shifted. The chop steak was 12,900 won in November 2025 and February 2026 and 13,900 won by September–October 2026; the two-person steak set went from 33,700 won in March 2026 to 34,700 won by August. Sirloin steak (19,900 won) shows up only in 2025, replaced in 2026 by flank steak at the same price. One post said pasta starts at 5,900 won, against 5,500 won everywhere else.
The phone number changed: three posts from July–September 2025 give 0507-1382-2618, and posts from November 2025 on give 070-7733-7789. Several posts repeat that bookings go through Naver and Catchtable, and three actually booked.
There is a cluster of promotional posts using the same phrases: close to ten carry the same 'TV-competition chef' and 'urban resort' hashtags in the same pattern, and only one discloses sponsorship.
