An old-style fried chicken house on Baekseokdong-gil in Buam-dong, in the lane by Changuimun Gate. The thin-battered whole chicken (24,000 won) comes with chunky potatoes, and posts describe nearly every table adding sea-snail noodles (small 25,000 won) and draft beer (5,000 won for 500cc). We read 25 posts dated 5–17 October 2026; 8 describe an actual visit. Most of the rest relay the 16 October episode of the TV show Tasty Guys, and two were not about this place at all.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait. Five of the eight visitors mentioned a queue. One was third in line on a weekday and waited about ten minutes. Another registered on CatchTable at 4:30 pm on a weekend with 24 parties ahead, got a check-in alert 25 minutes later with 9 left, had to confirm arrival by GPS within 20 minutes, and then waited about ten more minutes outside. Two posts from the same group on the same day gave up on the line and took chicken to the Han River instead.
- You order when you join the queue. Two visitors entered their phone number and their order on the tablet at the door; one saw a notice asking guests to order for their party size and cancel if they leave before being seated.
- Tables are limited to two hours, according to two visitors. One also noted that pairs must order at least one dish, water is self-serve from the dispenser by the counter, and you pay at the counter on your own floor.
- Four visitors called the batter crisp. One compared it to the hard-fried chicken of old street markets; another found it well salted in the brine but not too salty.
1 more
- Go by bus. One visitor recommends leaving the car near Gyeongbokgung and taking bus 1020, 7022 or 7212; another found it far from any station and took a ten-minute taxi from Gyeongbokgung Station.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 1 of 8 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | 3 of 8 posts |
| Toilet inside | 1 of 8 posts |
Seating is on the ground floor and a basement. Three visitors described both; one said the space down to the basement is roomy. One post instead said there is a second floor. Nobody described the stairs down.
No one said whether there is a step at the entrance, whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in, or whether there is a lift. That is unknown, not a no. The shop sits on a sloping lane and part of the seating is in a basement.
The toilet is indoors: one visitor was glad the women's room is inside. That the toilets are separated by gender comes only from a roundup that never visited, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 23 posts we gathered, 15 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two visits were with friends (the same group on the same day) and two were couples. None mention children.
- All opening hours are copied from listings. Seven posts agree on Tue–Sat 12:00–22:30, Sun 12:00–22:00, closed Mondays; one gives 22:30 on Sunday too. One visitor found the kitchen sold out and closed by about 6:20 pm.
- Prices are from October 2026. Visitors themselves recorded 24,000 won for the chicken, 25,000 won for small sea-snail noodles and 5,000 won for 500cc of draft. One roundup gave 22,000–24,000 won for the chicken without saying when. Claims that it is pricier or cheaper than neighbourhood chicken came from templated posts and were not counted.
- Phone 02-391-3566. Several posts copy that table reservations are not taken; for the queue, one visitor used CatchTable and another the KakaoTalk waitlist on the tablet at the door.
- Most posts from 13–17 October 2026 are roundups of the Tasty Guys episode written without visiting. Two of them are near-identical texts, so we did not count them as visits even though they claim to have eaten there.
