Choegogop
최고곱 Choego means 'the best' and gop is short for gopchang (pork intestines), so the name reads roughly as 'the best gopchang'.

A pork-gopchang stir-fry house at 602 Bongcheon-ro, Gwanak-gu, two or three minutes' walk from Exit 1 of Nakseongdae Station. The signature is crispy al-gopchang at 15,000 won a portion (two-portion minimum); a set of two portions plus steamed egg and fried rice is 37,000 won. The intestines come out fully grilled on an iron pan, and you only cook the kimchi and bean sprouts in the middle in the rendered fat. Staff fry the closing rice at the table. According to the posts, it moved here from Sangdo-dong, where it ran under another name, sometime before June 2026. We read 30 posts from June 7 to October 13, 2026, and all 30 describe an actual visit.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- The gopchang arrives fully cooked. Sixteen posts say it is grilled in the kitchen and brought out on the pan ready to eat. Only the kimchi and sprouts in the center go out raw. One writer started stirring everything together and was stopped by the owner: the fat from the gopchang around the edge runs to the middle, and that is what you cook the kimchi and sprouts in.
- The menu calls it self-serve fried rice, but nineteen posts say staff or the owner came to the table and fried it for them. Posts mention cheese melted with a torch and rice pressed into a heart shape. One writer was told to wait about a minute so the rice crisps against the pan.
- All eight posts that brought up gamey smell said there was little or none, including one by a writer who says they are usually sensitive to it.
- Sixteen posts call the room spacious, mentioning group tables, four- and eight-seat tables, round tables and generous spacing; one thought it could easily seat a large group. A single post from August 31 says it is not especially large, though not cramped. Two posts note bag storage inside the seat benches, and two describe eating outside in September with the doors open.
2 more
- Twenty posts say it is close to the station: two to five minutes on foot from Nakseongdae Exit 1, with the sign visible across the crossing as you come up. One group stopped in after hiking down Gwanaksan because Line 2 was right there.
- Nine posts mention a photo-review offer of free cheese or a plate of sundae, and one writer fried the sundae they received in with the gopchang. Keep in mind that these posts were written while that offer was running.

Parking
5 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Nearly every post says you can park out front, but mostly by copying the info block. Five writers actually describe it; they put the space at roughly two or about four cars, and one August post calls it tight and suggests calling ahead.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 30 posts read) |
|---|
No post describes the floor from experience. The address says ground floor, and posts mention a big street-front sign and folding doors left open, but nobody actually states it.
Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that there is no problem.
Only one post mentions the toilet: it is outside the restaurant, right next door. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender or accessible.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- The '18 years in Sangdo-dong' story is mostly copied from the shop's own blurb. Only one writer says they ate at the old place: by their account it changed its name when it moved, the new room is cleaner, and the kimchi-and-sprouts method is unchanged. All 30 posts we read are from after the move.
- Opening hours are reported two ways: 21 posts say noon to midnight daily (last order 23:30), while 6 say it opens at 3 p.m., five of them adding 2 a.m. closing on Fridays and Saturdays. Both versions appear throughout September and October, so we cannot date a change. One October 6 visit found it open in the early afternoon. Call 0507-1320-1277 to confirm.
- Opinions on heat differ: four posts call it spicy and one says it was not spicy at all. It isn't always clear whether they mean the gopchang itself, the dipping sauce, or the yachae gopchang seasoning.
- How you get more side dishes is unclear. A June post served itself from a side-dish bar with unlimited cabbage salad, and one September post also mentions a self-serve bar. Another September writer found that what looked like a self-serve bar was a staff station and that staff bring refills. We can't say whether a self-serve bar exists now.
- No post reports actually queuing. Four mention waiting chairs at the door, one found it nearly full just after 6 p.m., and one warns there may be a wait after 8 p.m.
- Many posts follow a common template. Only 2 of the 30 disclose sponsorship, yet the same '18 years of gopchang know-how' line, the photo-review offer, the ice buckets and the gum and lighters at the counter recur in a similar order, and five posts went up on September 17 alone. We relied on what was ordered and how it arrived rather than on praise.
