A chicken-paitan ramen shop up a flight of stairs on the second floor of 49-4 Yulgok-ro, in an alley off Anguk Station exit 1 (a tonkatsu place has the ground floor). There are now just two bowls, the milky toripaitan and the spicy karapaitan, both 13,000 won in posts from May 2026 on. You order and pay at a kiosk out front before you're seated, mostly at a counter, and extra noodles, broth, rice and kimchi are free. In April 2026 there were four ramen, including a shoyu and a shio, all at 12,000 won. We read 30 posts from April 9 to October 15, 2026 and counted the 19 written by people who ate here; 9 were about other places and 2 were ranking lists.

What sets it apart
- Twelve posts had to wait. The waits they give are 10, 10, 15, under 20, 30 and 30 minutes. One arrived at 11:20 on a Monday to a full room with one group ahead and found a much longer line by noon; another found a line before 11. One post walked straight in around 5 p.m. on a Sunday, and another saw no line at 5 on a weekday but one forming by 6. Your whole party must be there before you're seated.
- Nine posts describe ordering and paying at a kiosk before sitting down; you hand the printed slip to staff, who tell you where to sit.
- Most seats are at the counter, but there are tables: five posts mention table seating, one specifying two four-person tables. Seven posts call the room small or snug, and a party of four was split into two pairs because no four-top was free. Several mention many solo diners.
- Nearly every post mentions free extra noodles (half or whole), broth, rice and kimchi; five say this extends to kimchi and sides, which is what we counted. Three say the extra noodles arrived with another piece of chicken. Two note that kimchi doesn't come automatically: you ask for it.

- Each seat has a jug of tea instead of plain water. Five posts mention it but disagree on what it is: green tea in two, something like buckwheat tea in one, cold barley tea in one, and just cold tea in another.
- Five posts call the karapaitan spicy and one says it isn't. A self-described spice wimp says it made her sweat a little; another post says it's milder than Shin Ramyun.
- Seven posts are by repeat visitors: a former office regular, someone who goes every time she's in Anguk, a diner back after a good first visit. One post says the toppings and price weren't worth a return.

The address says ground floor, but you climb stairs to get in. Three posts say the shop is on the building's second floor; one found it by an 'Orenoramen Entrance 2F' arrow on the alley wall and warns not to walk past the tonkatsu sign downstairs. The queue forms at the foot of those stairs.
No post mentions steps at the door, wheelchairs or a lift. Four say you go up a staircase; whether there is a lift we don't know.
Nobody says whether the toilet is inside the shop or separated by gender. That means we don't know, not that there isn't one.

Of the 21 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Price: from May 2026 both ramen are 13,000 won and an extra egg 1,000 won. An April 13, 2026 post had every bowl at 12,000 won and four ramen including shoyu and shio; posts from May list only two. Three posts call it good value, one says it isn't.
- Hours: all eight posts that give hours say 10:30 to 21:00 with last order at 20:30, mostly copied from map listings. An April 2026 post had 11:00 to 20:30 (last order 20:00), and a June post says it opened at 11. An October post saw a notice saying hours had been extended, and one heard the afternoon break was dropped. We don't know exactly when this changed. No post mentions a closing day.
- Phone and booking: five posts give 0507-1341-3539, one gives 02-722-3539. Four say the line is walk-up only, with no app or remote waitlist; nobody says whether phone reservations are taken.
- Claims of six or eight straight years in the Michelin Bib Gourmand, and that the foam is whipped with a hand blender, come from the shop's signs or hearsay, so we didn't rely on them. One post says the broth is chicken and pork; the rest say chicken.
