Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A braised-mackerel restaurant on the Yongdam coastal road in Jeju City (614 Seohaean-ro). Mackerel and half a head of aged kimchi bubble in a hotpot on a tabletop burner, and you eat it with rice wrapped in lettuce and cabbage leaves. The aged-kimchi braise for two is 34,000 won with rice. It opens at 9 a.m., so many posts describe stopping for breakfast right after picking up a rental car at the airport. We read 15 posts dated 14 August to 19 October 2026. We set aside 2 that were about other places and did not count 3 that only promoted the place or copied another post, which leaves 10 actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Four posts said the mackerel had no fishy smell, and one said there was no smell of grease or fish in the room either. No post said otherwise. Seven posts described the sauce as spicy.
  2. Three posts said you order on a tablet at each table, and one noted you pay up front. Four posts mentioned a receipt-review offer of a free bottle of hallabong or cheonhyehyang juice, and two said they actually got one.
  3. The sea is right across the road. Four posts said they watched it through floor-to-ceiling windows, and some mentioned planes coming in to land at the airport.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

The only floor information is the '1st floor' in the address; no post described the floor or any stairs on the way in.

No post mentions a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that there is no access.

Nobody wrote about the restroom: whether it is inside or whether it is split by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 13 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Much of what is written about this place is promotional. Three posts follow the same search keyword and the same layout, and two others are the same text nearly sentence for sentence. One post disclosed that it was sponsored, one showed a receipt as proof the writer paid, and the rest say nothing about who paid.
  • One post describes a hairtail restaurant called Yongduam Haechon at the same address, with overlapping seating and menu. We could not tell whether it was renamed or is a separate place in the same building, so we left that post out.
  • Nine of the visit posts give the same hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily with no closing day. Most of them copied this into an info box at the top of the post, so it is not something they checked themselves.
  • Every post gives the same price, 34,000 won for the aged-kimchi braise for two, rice included. Grilled mackerel at 17,000 won and steamed egg at 7,000 won appear in only one promotional post, and nobody gave prices for the pork or the seafood stew. One post called the price reasonable.
  • Three posts give the phone number 0507-1373-5592, and one promotional post gives 064-711-6754. The only mention of reservations is in one copied info box, so we have nothing to go on.
  • Only one post says anything about waiting: there was no line when they went. Most visits were around the 9 a.m. opening, and nobody wrote about lunch or dinner crowds.
  • No post explains how to get there by bus. All of them just say it is ten minutes from the airport by car, and one copied a note saying ten minutes by taxi.
  • Few posts say who they went with: two went with friends and one with family. Nobody wrote about eating alone, and since the braise starts at a two-person portion, ordering solo may be awkward.
