Donghae Mirak is a raw-fish restaurant on the seafront at 133 Chilsimni-ro, Seogwipo's food street. Most people eat a set course: the two-person Altteul course at 110,000 won, then C, B and A courses, the Teuk course at 200,000 won and the house Special at 250,000 won; cutlassfish and mackerel sashimi can also be ordered on their own. Posts describe abalone porridge and small dishes first, a seafood platter with cutlassfish, mackerel, abalone, sea squirt and conch, then the main sashimi, then cheese-baked scallops, fried shrimp, grilled mackerel and abalone-gut rice, and finally spicy fish stew served in individual bowls. What sets it apart
- Eight posts say the portions are large. One says the table was so full it could break; both posts that ordered the two-person Altteul course left food behind. One post felt the opening side dishes were a little thin.
- Four posts ate at a window seat looking at the sea. One walked in at noon opening without a booking and got a window table; another had booked online and found the window side already full. Two posts went after dark and saw no sea.
- Three posts went with a booking, all of them family meals. The claim that booking gets you a second-floor window seat is something one post heard, so we did not count it.
- Three posts say the sashimi is cut thick: on the grouper course, on in-season yellowtail, and on a family of five's 200,000-won-range course.

What we do not know
- No post arrived by bus. One took a ten-minute taxi from their lodging and one walked five minutes. We don't know how it is by public transport.
- No post says they waited. One arrived at the noon opening and was seated at once, one found it quiet on a late Monday evening, and two describe both floors full of diners. That doesn't mean there's never a wait — nobody wrote about one.
- Eight visit posts give opening hours, and seven of them say 12:00–22:30 daily with no closing day. Only one gives a last order of 21:00, and one says 11:00–23:00 instead. Most of these were copied from listings; one post actually walked in at the noon opening.
- Prices come from 2026 posts. Seven posts from January to October 2026 agree on 110,000 won for the two-person Altteul course. One post felt mackerel and cutlassfish sashimi cost a bit more than in older reviews, but no post gives the older price, so we can't say when or by how much. One post said it isn't that expensive; none said it was. A post from a tour group didn't know what the meal cost.
- Nine posts give the phone number 064-733-5921, and the restaurant's own blog lists it for reservations. One post gives 064-733-5949 instead.
- Three posts written from the same rental-car promotion template add a short paragraph on Donghae Mirak at the end. They say they ate there, so we counted them as visits, but used them only for who they went with. Two promotional posts written by the restaurant itself were not counted as visits.
