Masitsuda

맛있수다 Masitsuda is Jeju dialect for 'it's delicious' — the island's polite -suda ending on masitda, 'tasty'.

A Jeju black-pork charcoal grill at 50 Yerae-ro, Seogwipo, right across from the entrance of the Hidden Cliff Hotel. Pork belly, or a half-belly half-neck mix, runs 66,000 won for 600g. The kitchen pre-grills and cuts it, and you finish it over charcoal at your table. Many posts add kimchi stew (8,000 won) or soybean stew and steamed egg (3,000 won each). We read 30 posts from November 2024 to October 2026 and counted 19 as actual meals.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The meat arrives already part-grilled: 17 of the 19 visit posts say so, and you only need to finish it at the table. The trade-off, one post notes, is that the meat takes more than ten minutes to reach the table.
  2. The 600g order is billed for two, and six posts say it is a lot of food: three adults with a three-portion order left some, one couple meant to order more and couldn't, and another called it enough for three. Four posts said it was good value, comparing it with the 150g single portions common in Seoul.
  3. Seating is split between indoor tables and a covered outdoor deck: nine posts mention the outdoor tables, three the private or partitioned rooms. Two summer posts note an electric fan at every table running alongside the air conditioning.
  4. Side dishes and lettuce are refilled from a self-serve bar, as eight posts mention. Eight posts also say a receipt review earns you a box of tangerine or cactus-fruit chocolates.

Parking

11 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park11 of 18 posts

The large car park is the most consistent remark: 11 posts found parking easy, and two drivers who called themselves beginners said it was no trouble. One post describes lots both in front of the building and across the road. Several hotel guests simply walked over.

Where it is

Map showing where Masitsuda is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

On floors, only one post says the dining room sits about half a level up, which gives it a view. The upstairs self-service café and photo spot come up only in promo posts we didn't count. No visit post describes going up there.

No one wrote about steps at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. That doesn't mean there is a problem, only that we don't know.

No one mentioned where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-01-173 posts in one day
2025-05-162 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Much of the writing is promotional. Nine posts from April 2025 to January 2026 repeat the same lines in the same order and end with an identical contact block, with no prices. We counted none of them. The summer 2026 posts share a set of hotel-name hashtags, and only one admits to being sponsored. Claims of three-week aging, a hundred celebrity visits and hotel pick-ups are the restaurant's own lines, copied by bloggers, so we did not rely on them.
  • Opening hours: twelve 2026 posts give 11:30-23:00, and one gives an 11:00 start. Eight give last orders at 22:10. A November 2024 post had a 22:40 close with last orders at 21:50, so closing time seems to have moved later since then. No post mentions a day off.
  • Prices mostly agree, except the marinated pork ribs: 46,000 won for 600g according to the post that ordered them, 26,000 won in a copied menu. Several posts put a meal for two, with 600g of meat plus stew and rice, at a little over 70,000 won.
  • Posts split one to one on how hot the kimchi stew is: one found it mild enough for children, another said it was a bit too spicy for their child.
  • No post describes getting there by bus. They say only that it is a one-to-five-minute walk from the Hidden Cliff Hotel, or four to six minutes by car from the other Jungmun hotels.
  • No post reports waiting. One arrived just after 6 p.m. as the first table, with booked parties soon after. Another came at an off hour and left to a full room. We don't know whether there is a wait at the dinner peak.
  • The 2026 posts give the phone number as 0507-1368-9898. 064-762-9898 appears only in the promo posts we didn't count. One post booked through Naver reservations.
