A hotel restaurant on the second floor of the Ocean Suites Jeju Hotel, right on the Tapdong seafront in Jeju City. Breakfast and dinner are buffets; lunch is à la carte set meals. All seven posts that gave the dinner buffet price said 69,000 won for adults, with children at 38,000 won and the breakfast buffet at 26,000 won. Lunch runs from 18,000 won (cheeseburger) to 26,000 won (brisket-and-abalone jjamppong with shrimp toast), dessert and a drink included. The dinner buffet was relaunched in April 2025 with a small price rise, the lunch menu changed in June, and from autumn 2025 dinner has a live steak and rice-noodle station. We read 24 posts dated 5 April 2025 to 27 August 2026; 23 describe actually eating here (11 dinner, 9 lunch, 2 breakfast only, 1 just the buffet desserts). Phone: 064-720-6300.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Book if you want a window seat. Eleven posts booked ahead or told readers to, almost always for the window tables facing the sea and the planes landing at Jeju airport; one says to phone early, no matter what. Eight posts mention the floor-to-ceiling windows, and one breakfast-goer who arrived at 7:01 found the window tables already full.
  2. The lunch jjamppong comes in a very large bowl. Five posts say the portions are big, one calling it a portion and a half and another saying the only downside was that it never seemed to get smaller. Every post that ordered jjamppong had the same brisket-and-abalone set.
  3. Ten posts said the prices were not high, and none said they were; the usual comparison is with other hotel buffets, one writer noting dinner here costs less than half of a five-star hotel's.
  4. Four posts came with children and six with family. A family celebrating a daughter's birthday on 5 April 2025 got the anniversary steak, and the child ate five bowls of noodle soup. High chairs appear only in a copied info block, so we did not count them.

Getting inside

Second floor18 of 22 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 22 posts read)
Lift to the floor5 of 22 posts

The restaurant is on the hotel's second floor. Eighteen posts describe going up, and the staircase in the middle of the lobby comes up again and again: it is built to look like an escalator but doesn't move, and several writers were fooled. Five posts say the lift also goes to the second floor. One post alone placed the restaurant on the ground floor.

Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or going in with a wheelchair or pushchair. Five posts say a lift reaches the second floor; beyond that we simply have no reports, which is not the same as saying there are barriers.

Nobody said whether the toilets are inside the restaurant or separated by gender; one post only mentions passing the VIP room on the way to the toilet.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on the shrimp toast differ. Nine posts call it crisp and three say it isn't greasy, but one writer found it so oil-soaked that she peeled off the bread.
  • Discounts changed over time: in April 2025 there was a 20% relaunch discount plus free unlimited draught beer; posts from July 2025 to February 2026 mention 30% off via the KakaoTalk channel; the 20% guest and member discount shows up across periods. We don't know what price applies now, and one writer said she wasn't sure how long the offer would last.
  • Opening hours differ slightly between posts. Breakfast (07:00–10:00) and dinner (18:00–21:30) agree everywhere, but most posts give lunch until 14:30 with last orders at 14:00, while two say 13:30. Most of these are copied from listings. One post says it is open every day of the year.
  • Nine lunch posts between 4 June and 14 July 2025 cover the same menu launch in the same phrases, as do five dinner posts around the April 2025 relaunch. None disclose sponsorship, but they may be promotional. The '30 years at the Shilla Hotel' chef is the restaurant's own claim, repeated by bloggers; we did not count it.
  • No post describes arriving by bus or on foot; distances are all given by car, 10 to 17 minutes from Jeju airport.
  • No post describes queuing. One says every seat was taken the moment dinner opened at six, and two lunch posts mention that event groups can fill the room. We don't know how long a walk-in might wait.
