궁서체 Gungseoche is the name of a traditional Korean brush-script typeface, literally 'palace style' after the hand of the old court ladies; one blogger admitted he could not tell whether the sign itself is set in it.

A cutlassfish (galchi) restaurant on the second floor of a building in a seaside lane in Tapdong, Jeju City, with a pilotis car park underneath. The draw is a set spread ordered by headcount — in October 2026 posts 89,000 won for two, 124,000 for three, 159,000 for four and 209,000 for five — built around boneless cutlassfish braised with a whole octopus, plus a whole grilled cutlassfish, abalone raw and butter-grilled, dombe pork, squid salad, cutlassfish pot rice and seaweed soup. Most posts say staff debone the grilled fish for you; two said it was taken back to the kitchen to be filleted. We read 30 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; 27 describe an actual visit. Eighteen of those were published between 12 and 26 October 2026 with the same info block and the same order (the 159,000-won four-person octopus set) — a promotional campaign that supplies much of the counting below.

What sets it apart
- The windows face the sea. Seventeen posts describe floor-to-ceiling windows or window seats with an ocean view, and several advise timing a visit for sunset; one notes planes passing overhead the whole meal. An October 2025 post was cooler about it: a distant sea view, nothing special.
- The three side dishes — kimchi, corn salad, braised quail eggs — are refilled from a self-service bar. Eighteen posts mention it; four say they actually went back several times.
- Eighteen posts mention high chairs — every one of them from the campaign. Three of those say they actually sat a child in one.

Parking is easy. Twenty-one posts say they parked, or could park, in the pilotis lot on the ground floor — 17 of them from the campaign. Posts disagree on its size: some call it spacious, one says it is not large and to use a second private lot 50 m away when it is full. Another mentions parking on nearby streets.

The dining room is upstairs. Nine posts describe parking below and going up to the second-floor restaurant.
No one mentions a basement level; posts describe only the ground-floor car park and the second-floor dining room.
The restaurant is on the second floor, but no post says whether you climb stairs or take a lift, or whether there is a step at the door. Nobody mentions arriving with a wheelchair or stroller — we simply don't know.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The 18 campaign posts (12–26 October 2026) share an info block, the same order and the same sequence of points. Only eight disclose payment; ten say nothing. Claims that the side dishes are house-made from domestic ingredients are the restaurant's own words, so we did not count them. We also did not count as visits a July 2026 post that rewrites an October 2025 post, and a sponsored October 2025 post whose meal matches none of the others.
- Prices have moved. A March 2025 post paid 94,000 won for a two-person set and found it a little pricey for what it was. A June 2026 menu showed 119,000 for three and 149,000 for four; October 2026 posts report 124,000 and 159,000. Three October posts said it felt reasonable. In October 2025 the boneless set was cheaper than the whole-fish one; by October 2026 they cost the same. A four-person set works out to about 40,000 won a head.
- No post reports queuing or a wait time. Two — an early-morning visit in October 2025 and one posted in July 2026 — found the room nearly empty. Two said the food was slow to arrive, one said it came quickly. The campaign posts don't mention waiting at all, which is not the same as there being no wait. One post says Naver booking is available.
- No visit post describes arriving by bus or on foot; most came by rental car and put it 5–15 minutes' drive from the airport or Dongmun Market. One sponsored piece names a bus stop, but we did not count it as a visit.
- Only one post, from October 2025, brought a dog (the owner reportedly handed out chocolate). No later post says whether dogs are still welcome.
- Opening hours: the 18 campaign posts copy '10:00–22:00' from the same block, and four other posts give daily 10:00–22:00 with last orders at 21:00. One March 2025 post alone says 09:00–21:00. No one mentions a closing day.
- The phone number is given consistently as 0507-1409-1326. Two posts say you can book by phone or through Naver, but none actually booked ahead.
