형제도식당 본점 Hyeongjedo reads as 'Brothers' Island' (hyeongje = brothers, do = island) and sikdang means eatery; bonjeom marks it as the main branch. None of the posts explain the name.

Hyeongjedo Sikdang's main branch is a hairtail restaurant in a large standalone building on Iljuseo-ro 915, on the main road through Jungmun, Seogwipo. The usual order is a set of whole grilled hairtail plus a long pan of braised hairtail (85,000 won for two); raw hairtail, hairtail fritters, a kimchi pancake with hairtail belly, soy-marinated crab, raw abalone and grilled tilefish fill the table first, then stone-pot rice and seaweed soup. It opens at 10 a.m., and some went for a late breakfast. We read 30 posts dated 19 June to 20 October 2026; 28 describe an actual meal. One was a scraped list of ten hairtail restaurants, which we did not count, and one was about a nearby gift shop, which we set aside.

What sets it apart
- You do not debone the fish yourself. Of the 28 meal posts, 25 say a staff member or the owner took the bones out of the whole grilled hairtail at the table as soon as it arrived. The braise simmers on an induction plate or burner beside the table, and several posts say the octopus and abalone were cut up and served onto side plates once cooked. One writer watched the owner going from table to table doing this himself.
- Nine posts went with children. They say the deboned grilled fish and the boneless fritters went down well, and two found the braise milder than expected. Three saw high chairs themselves. One party of ten, three of them children, sat together at joined tables.
- Twelve posts said nothing tasted fishy, mostly about the raw hairtail, which many were trying for the first time; one wrote that a companion who cannot touch fishy raw fish ate it happily. The 'caught the same day' line is the restaurant's own claim repeated by bloggers, so we did not rely on it.

We do not know which floor you eat on. One post noted that the restaurant uses the whole building up to the second floor, but no one said where guests sit or whether there are stairs.
No one said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. Even among the nine posts with children, none mentions a stroller.
No one described the toilets from experience. Lines like 'separate men's and women's toilets' and 'toilet inside the building' were copied from listing blocks, and we did not rely on them.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waiting seems to depend on the hour. One post waited, briefly, at weekend lunch. Five did not, and four of those went at opening time, at 11:30, or after the lunch rush. Four saw waiting seats at the entrance. No one recorded how long the wait is at a busy dinner.
- The price may have gone up. A post from 19 June 2026 paid 78,000 won for the two-person set; every post from 17 July on that gives the price says 85,000. Only one post gives the June price, so we do not know when it changed. No one called it expensive, and ten posts said it was cheap compared with elsewhere.
- No one arrived by bus. Two posts say they drove, and the rest read as rental-car trips. No post names a nearby bus stop.
- One post dissented: the side dishes were good, but the braise and the grilled fish were only so-so, and the writer would not go back. One post was by a repeat visitor.
- Opening hours of 10:00 to 22:00 daily, last order 20:30, appear in 23 posts, but almost all are copied from listing blocks. Four writers arrived at the 10 a.m. opening and found it open. That it never closes appears in one copied line only.
- The phone number is 064-738-3407. Two posts booked ahead. We do not know whether a booking is needed at busy dinner times.
- Many posts carry the same '10% off' coupon image and the same promotional phrases. Several say the owner hands the coupon out at the table for a next visit, so we do not assume these are paid posts, but none discloses sponsorship; one says it was an invited visit, and two say they paid their own way.
