An eel-grill restaurant at 55 Cheonjeyeon-ro, near the Jungmun resort area in Seogwipo, opened on 5 May 2026. You choose a cleaned, packed freshwater eel by weight at the counter to the left of the entrance and pay up front (12,500 won per 100 g cleaned); it comes to the table par-grilled and staff finish it for you. A 3,000-won-per-person table charge is added. At lunch there is an eel rice set (18,000 won) and, since June 2026, an abalone porridge spread (25,000 won per person). We read 22 posts dated 13 May to 29 September 2026; 19 describe an actual visit. Three disclose sponsorship and one came through a giveaway.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff grill the eel at your table from start to finish: 13 of the 19 visit posts say so, and 9 note that it first goes through a par-grill station by the counter. Posts mention being told to try the first bite with salt only, and being shown how to toast rice paper over the coals until it puffs up like a cracker. One family wrote that staff came back right on cue to grill the eel they had left aside.
- There are several private rooms: 14 visit posts mention them and two count five. They carry Jeju place names such as Baengnokdam, Udo and Seongsan. One post describes a TV and a clothes-steaming cabinet in the Baengnokdam VIP room (TVs in rooms come up in 3 posts), and one family booked by phone and got a room for up to ten. Posts describe the open floor as having high partitions and wide spacing.
- Instead of plain water, tables get yagwanmun herbal tea: 12 visit posts mention it, two saying plain water is offered too. Several posts describe free self-serve coffee, ice and fruit teas by the exit after the meal.
- No post found the eel fishy; 8 say explicitly that it wasn't, and 4 describe it as thick.
2 more
- The abalone porridge set is large: one post likened the pot to three or four servings and another took half of it home; 6 posts in all call portions big. On the other hand, one family of four found 1 kg of eel not quite enough.
- Family meals dominate: 10 visit posts went with family or parents, 5 brought children. One post saw high chairs and children's tableware first-hand, and two got the kids' meal free. Two posts were larger groups and one was a couple.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Instead of plain water, tables get yagwanmun herbal tea: 12 visit posts mention it, two saying plain water is offered too. Several posts describe free self-serve coffee, ice and fruit teas by the exit after the meal.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor level from experience; one only copies '1F' from an address line. This means nobody said, not that it isn't on the ground floor.
Nobody wrote about steps, a threshold, or entering with a wheelchair or stroller. One post mentions a wide entrance but says nothing about a step.
No post says whether the toilet is inside or separated by gender; 4 posts only note mouthwash, floss and sanitary products laid out there.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 21 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post covers public transport: it says the Jungmun Tourist Complex Entrance bus stop is close and it was about a ten-minute walk from a nearby attraction. Everyone else drove.
- No post mentions waiting — which means nobody said, not that there is never a wait. Five posts booked ahead by Naver or phone, and two of them found the table already set on arrival.
- Few posts state what a meal costs. Two give 12,500 won per 100 g of cleaned eel, and one estimates 70,000–80,000 won for two. One found ordering more eel too expensive, another couldn't decide whether it was pricey. The eel soup is listed at 5,000 won in one post and 6,000 in two others.
- Fourteen posts give the same opening hours, 10:30–22:00 (last order 21:00 in 10 of them), but every one is copied from an info block. Lunch-menu hours differ: one May post says 10:30–14:00, two later posts say 11:00–15:00. Nobody mentions a mid-day break.
- Nine posts list the phone number as 0507-1467-8072, but one gives 064-738-8892 and another 0507-1354-8892. Posts say bookings work through both Naver and by phone.
- Extras changed over time. Posts from May 2026 describe an opening event — a free eel for writing a review, buy-one-get-one drinks, and free lotus onion kimchi with eel. From June on, a receipt review earned one side such as mochi tofu, and the onion kimchi became a separate order.
- Five posts come from a single blogger (one was discarded as being about another venue), and there are three disclosed-sponsorship posts plus one giveaway post. Many follow the same info block and running order — parking, eel counter, rooms, herbal tea, table grilling. We counted only what posts say they experienced.
