ARIA

아리아 Aria Aria is the Italian word for a solo song in opera; the posts give no story behind the name.

A hotel buffet on the first floor of the Grand Josun Jeju main building in the Jungmun resort area. You arrive at the lobby on the fifth floor and take the lift down. It serves three meals a day; adult prices were given as 70,000 won for breakfast (63,000 won for hotel guests), 89,000 won for weekday lunch, 99,000 won for weekend lunch and 140,000 won for dinner. There are sashimi and sushi, grilled lamb, Korean and Chinese counters, a made-to-order noodle station and a low kids' station. We read 30 posts dated 24 June to 22 October 2026. We set aside 4 that were about a different Jungmun hotel with the same name; of the remaining 26, 14 record actually eating here. Eight were near-identical booking-coupon posts and were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Three posts say the tables are well spaced, enough not to notice the next table and to talk comfortably. Three posts sat by the window: one asked for it when booking, another arrived at 8 am before the rush and was shown to one.
  2. Three posts mention high chairs. A family with a six-month-old got a Tripp Trapp but noted it had no tray, and kept the baby asleep in the stroller at the table. Four posts ate here with children. One post says the kids' station is built low so children can serve themselves; another expected toddler side dishes and found only cereal, cookies and marshmallows. One post says staff warmed up the baby food they brought.
  3. Two posts say rice noodles, udon and fried eggs are made on the spot when you ask. Coffee works the same way: you ask the staff rather than using a machine.
  4. Opinions on price split. One post found it too expensive: after a 63,000-won guest breakfast it 'didn't satisfy as much as expected', and he skipped breakfast on the last day. Two posts found it worth the money; both are by the same blogger about one September lunch, which she called reasonable next to lunch at the Westin Josun in Seoul.
2 more
  1. Three posts ate at a discount: one bought weekday lunch through Tamnao for 70,100 won a head, one paid 142,400 won for two with a 20% Jeju-resident discount, and one got the 10% hotel-guest discount.
  2. Two posts booked ahead: one by phone the day before (064-735-8989) because they had a baby, the other asking for a window seat. One of them thought walk-ins are accepted but called booking almost essential.

Two posts parked in the hotel's above-ground lots. The line that there is no underground parking comes from booking-promotion posts and was not counted.

The way in is unusual: from the hotel car park you enter at the fifth-floor lobby, and Aria is on the first floor. One post describes parking above ground and taking the lift down to the first floor; three posts say from their own visit that it is on the first floor. The registered address calls it 'basement level 2', but every post calls it the first floor and describes garden views from the window seats.

One post kept a stroller beside the table. Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or coming in by wheelchair; that means we don't know, not that there is a problem.

One post says the toilets are just outside the restaurant entrance. Nobody said whether they are separated by gender or accessible.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-09-032 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waiting barely comes up. One post went just before 7:30 am and found it nearly empty; no post describes queuing. We don't know whether weekend lunch or dinner involves a wait.
  • Two posts reached the hotel by airport limousine bus, one of them in April 2021. No one described coming by city bus.
  • Four posts give the same opening hours: breakfast 07:00-10:30, lunch 12:00-14:30, dinner 18:00-21:30. All four copied them into a header, and none mentions a closing day. One post says breakfast entry ends at 10:00.
  • Prices have gone up. A post about April 2021 recorded breakfast at 55,000 won, lunch 76,000 won and dinner 118,000 won; 2026 posts give 70,000, 89,000 (weekday lunch) and 140,000 won. The note that prices may differ on 24-25 and 30-31 December comes from booking posts.
  • Eight of the posts are promotional pieces built from the same template: a booking-app coupon link, the same hotel blurb and the same breakfast price table. One claims to have eaten breakfast but names nothing and uses the app's photos, so none of the eight were counted.
