iidy

이디 Idi Iidy is said to be Jeju dialect for 'here' — one post adds that it is meant as a place for easy, happy get-togethers.

Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →

Iidy is the restaurant on the ground floor of the resort wing at Haevichi Hotel & Resort in Pyoseon, Seogwipo, right by the lobby. From 7 to 10 am it serves Korean breakfast trays — black-pork kimchi stew, bulgogi, beef soup — and an American breakfast; at lunch and dinner it does wood-fired pizza, pasta, risotto and steak. Posts put pizzas at 25,000–28,000 won, pastas and risottos at 30,000–38,000 won, and a breakfast tray at 29,000–35,000 won. Afternoons bring a seasonal bingsu and a dessert tea set. Most diners are hotel guests, so most posts are one section of a stay write-up; eleven went with family. We read 30 posts from September 2025 to October 2026; 22 are first-hand meals. Three were about other restaurants in the resort and were set aside, and five only described the place.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Ten posts mention the window seats and the garden and sea beyond the glass. Two describe staff seating them by the window — one moved them when a window table came free. Five said the room is large with generous spacing between tables.
  2. Eight posts said prices are fair for a hotel restaurant, two said expensive, and three did not settle. Both 'expensive' verdicts were about breakfast — abalone porridge at 35,000 won and soups at 30,000 won, which one diner said would feel wasteful at full price. One post showed the 10% hotel-guest discount on an actual bill, and noted the mango bingsu was excluded.
  3. Six posts went with children, and four of them mention high chairs — one said there were lots. One post says staff warmed baby food on request, and one says you can bring a pushchair in.
  4. No post reports a wait. Five said the room was quiet or empty when they arrived — a weekday evening, mid-afternoon twice, before 9 am, and noon on a weekend. Three booked ahead on Naver; the dessert tea set was booked the same morning.

  1. Five posts had coffee. One found the 13,000-won café mocha small, but staff offered a refill without being asked; another post also mentions refills. At breakfast only the American breakfast includes coffee — one diner paid 5,000 won extra to add it.

Getting inside

One post (December 2025) says a pushchair can come in. No one wrote about steps, ramps or wheelchair access — we simply don't know. Nine posts place it on the ground floor of the resort wing.

No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices have gone up: the Haevichi set went from 200,000 won (November 2025) to 250,000 won (June 2026), the gelato from 10,000 to 12,000 won, and the dessert tea set from 55,000 won (February 2026) to 65,000 won (June 2026). The breakfast soup also changed — beef head-meat soup in 2025 posts, beef gomtang in 2026.
  • Noise is split: two posts found it calm and quiet, one said the open layout carries voices from nearby tables.
  • All opening hours were copied from Naver or hotel listings. Most give 07:00–21:30 with breaks 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00, last order 21:00; one post has the second break starting at 14:30. No post mentions a closing day. Four posts give the phone number as 064-780-8314; one wrote 8414. Bookings are taken by phone and on Naver.
  • The restaurant has been renovated — a December 2025 post and an August 2026 post both mention it. It did not move, and none of the posts we read describe it before the renovation.
  • No one wrote about getting there by bus or public transport; nearly all writers were resort guests who walked down from their rooms.
