Grill houseKorean

Heukdonga Jeju Bonjeom

흑돈가 제주본점 Heukdonga (黑豚家, as the sign spells it in hanja) means 'black pig house' — the house grills Jeju black pork over charcoal.

Compiled from 15 blog posts read in fullSources →

Heukdonga's flagship sits on Halladaehak-ro in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, 10–15 minutes' drive from the airport. It grills Jeju black pork over charcoal at the table: belly, neck or jowl at 22,000 won a portion (180 g or 160 g), and at lunch a black-pork set at 13,000 won a person, two-person minimum. The meat is dipped in anchovy sauce kept bubbling at the edge of the grill. We read 30 posts dated 19 December 2025 to 12 October 2026; 17 record an actual meal. One was about a different restaurant and was set aside, and 12 were list posts or templated posts with nothing first-hand, so we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It is a big place. Ten posts said so and six mentioned private rooms; one described numbered rooms ('Room 6, tables 31–35') with five tables in a row each. Another said hall tables run from four to six seats.
  2. Whether staff grill for you is split: five posts say they did, one says 'staff don't grill, you cook it yourself.' Even the five describe partial help — one says staff did about half the grill, another that a single server was covering two or three tables, so they took over.
  3. Extra side dishes come from a self-serve bar, as nine posts noted; one saw the sign 'take only what you'll eat' posted three times above it. Two singled out the barley kimchi.
  4. Six posts remarked on how thick the cuts are — 'thick enough to make the scissors look small,' and thick enough that it takes a while over the coals.
2 more
  1. The lunch set is 13,000 won a person, two-person minimum, and one post says orders close at 14:30. Three posts called it good value; one said 22,000 won a portion is not cheap. Another liked ordering single portions but noted that if you'll eat three, places selling by the 600 g geun work out cheaper. One group of four paid 147,000 won.
  2. A receipt review earns a free cold noodle or citrus juice. Two posts claimed it and both said the noodle bowl was large; one more got the noodles free for booking through Naver.

Seven posts parked there themselves: a lot in front and a larger one behind the building, which two posts said takes tour buses. Two went in through the back door from the rear lot.

Getting inside

Step at the entrance1 of 15 posts

No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there is a basement or upstairs seating; the '1st floor' in the address is registry data.

Nobody wrote about getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post mentions a stone pig 'beside the steps' at the entrance, so we count steps there. A wheelchair-accessible note appears in one post's copied info block; we don't rely on it.

No post describes the toilets — where they are or whether they are separate. That means unknown, not absent.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2025-12-222 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post arrived by bus (they hopped off when it passed the restaurant). The rest drove or didn't say.
  • No post reports waiting. Two said there was no line or it was quiet — one just after 5 pm on a weekday, one at lunch. Nobody covers dinner peak, so that is unknown. Two posts booked ahead.
  • Company is scattered: two groups, two by car, one family, one couple. The templated December 2025 posts that mention friends were not counted.
  • Opening hours: eight posts give 11:20–22:30 and nine a 15:00–17:00 break, mostly copied from listings. Last order varies — 21:00 in four posts, 21:20 and 21:30 in one each. No post names a closing day; five say 'daily.'
  • Prices are from 2026 posts. The add-on meat price is unclear — one post says 11,000 won a portion, another 18,500 won total for 1.5 portions. Only one post gives a full bill: 147,000 won for four.
  • Phone: several posts give 0507-1366-0203; a list post also gives 064-747-0088. Two posts booked through Naver.
  • Seven posts from 19–30 December 2025 share one template ('Nohyeong-dong restaurant – …' headings) with nothing first-hand — one written in December mentions 'summer heat' — so we did not count them as visits. Three posts from May–June 2026 came from a sponsored Webflow press tour, and another from the same weeks reuses the tour's promotional lines.
