Nangtteure Swimpang
낭뜰에쉼팡 In Jeju dialect nang is a tree and swimpang a resting place, so the name reads as 'a resting place in the tree garden'.

A roadside Korean restaurant at 2343 Namjo-ro, Jocheon, near Jeju Stone Park and Eco Land. Nearly everyone orders the Nangtteul set (15,000 won a head, two minimum): wrap greens, tofu with fresh-dressed salad, barley rice, soybean-paste stew, grilled mackerel and stir-fried black pork, with side dishes. 26 posts ate the set; some added stone-pot or meat bibimbap (9,000 won each), green-tea perilla sujebi (10,000 won) or pot udon (6,000 won) on the side. Every post that gives a price says 15,000 won per set; none calls it expensive and 12 say it is good value. 23 posts went with family, 16 with children. We read 30 posts dated 19 September to 28 October 2026; 28 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait around noon. Seven posts waited and one did not. One arrived at 12:00 to find eight parties ahead and waited 40 minutes; a party of six waited 30 to 40 minutes for a group table; another arrived just behind a tour bus. Two posts that arrived at 11:20 and 11:30 walked straight in and found a line on the way out. One advises sending someone ahead to take a number at the counter. Five posts mention a waiting area with seats.
- The set needs at least two orders, and children count as a full portion from a certain age. Seven posts note the two-person minimum and four the one-order-per-person rule; the cut-off is given as age eight (two posts), 'not for seven and under' (one) and 'school age' (one), which amount to the same. One family ordered just an extra bowl of rice for a seven-year-old.
- Side dishes are refilled from a self-service corner, according to eight posts. One noticed the self-serve dishes differed from those first brought to the table, another went back two or three times for the salad dressing, and one found so many sides that a refill was never needed.
- Families with children are common: 16 posts brought kids, and four mention high chairs, one saying wooden ones were lined up by the windows and another that child cutlery was provided. Several say the stew and tofu were mild enough for their children.
2 more
- Seating is at tables with your shoes on; one post states there are no floor tables. Five posts describe the room as large, with many groups and hiking-club buses coming through.
- Five posts say the seasoning is light. The stew is described as pale and a little bland; one post found the mackerel salty but the stew mild. One post disliked exactly this, joking that the cook had forgotten the soybean paste, and said they would not return.

Parking

| Posts saying you can park | 10 of 28 posts |

This is a drive-to place with parking. Ten posts parked there and seven describe it as roomy: spaces in front, behind the building, and on an empty lot across the road. One parked on the unpaved lot opposite before noticing a large private lot behind the restaurant; another says the lot is big but full every time.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are steps. Posts describe a farmhouse-style building with stone walls, but that is not the same as anyone saying so.
No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; despite many posts with babies, strollers never come up for this restaurant. We don't know.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separate for men and women. We don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The pet policy may have changed. One post says dogs were allowed on a visit in late July 2026, but that the Naver Map listing now says pets are not accepted. That second part is copied listing text, so we have not counted it.
- Eleven posts give opening hours of 09:00 to 19:50 with a break from 16:00 to 17:00. On Wednesdays it closes at 16:00, with last orders at 15:30, and three posts say there is no regular closing day. Last orders on other days are given as 18:50 by two posts and 19:00 by two. One post copied 09:00 to 17:50 from Naver Place, which no other post matches.
- One post describes the set as a choice of pork or mackerel; every other post says both come with it.
- No post arrived by bus; everyone drove, one noting it is 15 minutes by car from Hamdeok. We don't know how practical it is by public transport.
- Twenty-three posts went with family; none went with friends or alone. Since the set needs two orders, we don't know what a solo diner would end up eating.
- Many posts list the same phone number, 064-784-9292. The note that groups of ten or more can book comes from copied listing info; no post actually made a reservation.
- Two listicle posts compiled from other people's reviews were not counted. One places the restaurant in Seonheul and the other gives hours of 09:00 to 16:00, neither of which matches the other posts.
