A kalguksu house on Bijarim-ro in Gyorae village, Jocheon, Jeju. The core dishes are native-chicken kalguksu with green fresh noodles (12,000 won) and bomal-abalone kalguksu (14,000 won, two-portion minimum), often with a buckwheat vegetable pancake (10,000 won). Three posts said you order on a tablet or kiosk at the table, and kimchi refills are self-serve. Most visitors stopped for lunch after Sangumburi, Saryeoni Forest or Eco Land. Posts from February 2026 list seafood kalguksu (13,000 won) where clam kalguksu (9,000 won) used to be. We read 30 posts from October 2025 to October 2026; 22 record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Twelve posts said the dining room is large. One described it as full of four-person tables with floor seating for groups, another mentioned a floor-seating corner, one noted a big wood stove in the middle, and one saw a separate reserved section for groups at the back. Two posts mentioned tour buses and large groups.
- There can be a wait at lunch. Three posts waited: ticket number 5, ticket number 8 at 12:56, and 20 minutes around noon on a Sunday. The 20-minute post mentioned a separate lounge to sit in while waiting, and another post noted a waiting area for weekends. One post arriving well after lunch found it nearly empty; two said sometimes there is a wait and sometimes not.
- Several posts quoted a notice that the noodles are made to order and take 15 to 30 minutes; that is the house's own statement. Two posts actually found it slow: one waited almost 30 minutes at a busy time, another said the noodles came very late. One post said it took under 15 minutes. Three posts warned that mixed orders arrive at different times.
- Nine posts came with children. Four said high chairs were available, and one said staff also brought baby bowls and cutlery. Posts repeatedly said the broth was mild enough to share with a child; four said it was not salty. One post mentioned phone charging.
2 more
- The side dishes are cabbage kimchi and cubed radish kimchi, and eight posts said you refill them yourself at a self-serve corner. One post refilled the radish kimchi four times. One post found the kimchi disappointing because it was not the fresh style.
- Two posts said each person must order one dish. A party of six adults and a baby asked and were told the buckwheat pancake counts as a dish.

Seven posts said there is a car park in front. It fills at lunch, though: one post found it full after noon with cars queuing for spaces, another found it packed at lunchtime, and one said it is small for the dining room but turns over quickly.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post described the floor or any stairs from experience; only the address says ground floor.
Nobody said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that it is impossible.
Nobody mentioned where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts from October to December 2025 list clam kalguksu at 9,000 won; a February 2026 post said it is no longer sold, and later posts list seafood kalguksu at 13,000 won instead. One October 2026 post still lists the clam version, which we treat as a copied old menu. A visitor from 2014 said bomal kalguksu did not exist then. The restaurant has not moved; one post said the building and interior look the same as twelve years ago.
- Four posts said the broth is not salty, but one found the seafood kalguksu very bland and had to season it from the salt and pepper on the table.
- One post was bothered that staff wheeled a red food-waste bin between tables while people ate. Another said staff seemed inexperienced and made several serving mistakes.
- Nine posts give opening hours as 10:30 to 17:00 and six say it is closed on Tuesdays, though most copied this from an info block; one read it off the sign at the entrance. One post says 17:30 and one says it heard 19:30. Almost all agree there is no dinner service.
- Prices held steady from October 2025 to October 2026: 12,000 won for chicken kalguksu, 14,000 won for bomal-abalone, 10,000 won for the pancake. A meal runs 12,000 to 14,000 won per bowl, and the bomal version needs at least two diners.
- Eight posts give the phone number as 064-782-9870; one wrote 064-782-9370. One post saw reserved group tables, but nobody reported actually booking by phone.
- No one arrived by bus. The claim that a bus stop is right outside appears only in a list copied from tourism-board data; every actual visitor drove.
