Hyeopjae Kalguksu is a noodle-soup shop on Hyeopjae-ro in Hallim, a short walk from Hyeopjae Beach on Jeju's west coast. People mostly order bomal (sea-snail) noodles, seafood noodles, bomal porridge and cold squid soup. Only one post gave prices: in August 2026 the seafood noodles were 18,000 won, the bomal noodles 12,000, and the porridge and squid soup 15,000 each. Five posts said two kinds of kimchi come with the meal, one fresh and one riper. We read 11 posts dated August 27 to October 25, 2026; 10 describe an actual visit and the other is a top-ten list.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Six posts waited or saw a line, and four walked straight in. Three gave times: 30 minutes on a weekday early evening, 20 minutes around 12:40, and 'about 30 minutes'. One got the last free table with a line forming right behind them; another walked in but found a sizeable line on the way out. Three of the four who didn't wait came at off-peak times: a weekday 11 a.m. opening, a weekday morning, and after the lunch rush.
- The waiting area is outdoors. Four posts described it: chairs set out under a pavilion in front of the shop, which one writer found hot to sit in during warm weather. Two posts said you take a number ticket first, one of them from the counter inside.
- Four posts said the seafood noodles come loaded with seafood: octopus, abalone, shrimp and clams, including a whole abalone according to one. Another family of three found one order plenty to share.
- You order at your table: two posts said each table has a tablet or kiosk for ordering and paying.
1 more
- Two posts mentioned high chairs. A parent with two children noted a menu warning about chili seeds in the bomal noodles and rinsed the noodles before giving them to the kids. One post said small dogs are allowed inside if carried in a bag.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

There is no dedicated car park. All four posts that described parking left the car on the road or alley out front or in a nearby public lot. A Friday-lunch visitor found the roadside spots nearly full; a weekday 11 a.m. visitor found plenty. One post warned that parking isn't allowed at the mouth of the narrow alley.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post said what floor the shop is on or whether there are stairs; the '1st floor' in the address is registry data.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. Three posts brought children, but none mentioned a stroller.
No one described the toilet from experience. One post's info box lists separate men's and women's toilets, but that is copied listing data, so we didn't count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 11 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on the size of the dining room: four called it small (one counted about ten tables), two called it roomy.
- No post described getting there by bus. One said it's a three-minute walk from Hyeopjae Beach, but everyone who mentioned transport came by car.
- Seven posts list opening hours of 9:00 to 20:00, six of them with last orders at 19:30, but all of these are copied info boxes. Only one mentions a 16:00 to 17:00 break, so we can't confirm it.
- Only one post, from August 2026, gave prices, so we don't know current ones. No one called the place expensive or cheap. One post said writing a review gets you a free drink, as long as you've ordered a main dish.
- Five posts copied the phone number 064-796-8107. None said whether the shop takes reservations; that means we don't know, not that it doesn't.
