Beach Cliff

비치클리프 Bichi Keullipeu The name is plain English, 'beach cliff' — the house sits across a road from Geumneung Beach.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

An outdoor-pool café and beach bar across a single road from Geumneung Beach in Hallim, western Jeju. You order hot dogs, pizza, poke bowls, chicken bites, smoothies or cocktails at the indoor kiosks, collect them when your number shows on the screen, and eat at seats around the pool. It reopened after a renovation in 2026 and began charging a 20,000-won pool fee for adults; in 2025 the pool was free with one drink per person. One post says the 2026 season ended on 11 October and will resume in spring. We read 30 posts dated April 2025 to October 2026; 24 describe an actual visit (three were about other businesses and were set aside).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The showers are for a quick rinse. Fifteen posts mention them and describe the same thing: open-air booths, cold water only, no soap or shampoo allowed. One post had heard the changing rooms and showers were so cramped you queue for them. Several say to bring a towel or rent one for 5,000 won.
  2. Ordering is self-service: twelve posts used the kiosks, and you fetch food from the pickup counter when your number appears on the screens indoors and by the pool. One post from a weekday in late July 2025 waited 50 minutes for its first food order, while an extra drink took five, and advised ordering drinks and food separately.
  3. Six posts say everyone must order at least one item or drink. The best poolside seats carry minimum spends on top: 2025 posts mention 40,000, 60,000 and 80,000-won zones, and a 2026 post says ocean-view sunbeds and booths need 90,000 won or more. One visitor learned too late that receipts can be added up during the stay and regretted not taking the 60,000-won beachfront seat.
  4. It is not quiet, even by day. One family post from summer 2025 said the indoor music was at club volume and got through their headphones, and wished it were turned down in the daytime. Many posts mention DJ sets and bubble parties in the evening.

Parking

4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park4 of 23 posts

Parking reports differ. Four posts parked, and two of them mention a dedicated car park; several copied listings instead point to the Geumneung Beach public lot or the roadside. One July 2025 post saw cars parked illegally on the pavement around the lot.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Second floor3 of 23 posts
Toilet inside2 of 23 posts

Three posts mention an upper floor: lockers are on the way up, and the second floor is a club space with a stage. One said the sea view from up there looked like a framed picture.

You enter at ground level, where the kiosks are, according to the posts. Nobody mentions a basement.

We don't know about steps or wheelchair and pram access. 'Wheelchair-accessible entrance' appears only in one post's copied listing; nobody describes going in that way. That means no one wrote about it, not that it's inaccessible. One post warns that the stone paving around the pool gets very hot.

Two posts place the toilets inside the building. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listings, so we did not count that.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on price split: three posts call it expensive (one says a 12,000-won smoothie was a scary price), five say it is not, and one is undecided. Most of the 'not expensive' verdicts date from 2025, when ordering food got you into the pool free. The 2026 pool fee is 20,000 won for adults; for under-15s two posts say 15,000 won and two say 10,000. Typical prices: hot dog set 11,500 won (2025), poke bowls 25,000–27,000 won and cocktails 17,000 won (2026).
  • Opening hours have changed. Most posts from July to October 2025 list 10:00 to midnight (last order 23:00); six 2026 posts list 10:00–22:00 (last order 21:00), and one September 2026 post says 11:00–20:00. All of these were copied from listings rather than checked. One post says the 2026 season ended on 11 October, so treat it as seasonal and check before going.
  • No post arrived by bus. One took a taxi from Jeju Airport (50 minutes, 34,000 won) and, after seeing cars queued on the beach road, recommended a taxi over driving.
  • No post describes queuing to get in. One found it very crowded in mid-August, another found the 40,000-won outdoor sofas already full, and three found it quiet on weekdays or just after the reopening.
  • By day it suits families: five posts went with children and mention a separate shallow kids' pool. Two say under-36-month-olds may not enter the pool. 'No children after 5 p.m.' is a house rule copied by many posts, so we did not count it.
  • The phone number 064-796-0247 is copied in more than ten posts. No post says it made a reservation.
