NUVA BEACH
바다다 누바비치 Badada Nubabichi Badada plays on bada, Korean for 'sea' — the café sits right on the shore; the owners' blog, quoted in several posts, says NUVA is NU + VADADA, the renewed form of the café that has run since 2016.

A large café-and-pub right on the water off Daepo-ro in Seogwipo, near Jungmun's Daepo harbour. It shares a compound (Nuva Beach / Nuva Town) with the pork grill Dongado and the fish shop Mulgogi Sanghoe; this page covers only the café, which most posts call 'Badada'. You order at the ground-floor counter, get a buzzer, and sit where you like: indoors downstairs, by the second-floor glass wall, on the roof, or out by the pool. Americano runs 8,000–8,500 won, lattes 9,000–10,000, smoothies and ades 12,000, and several posts say any drink order gets you into the outdoor pool. Café by day, cocktail-and-beer pub at night. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to September 2026; 21 are visits to this café. Eight were about Dongado or Mulgogi Sanghoe and were set aside, and one only looked around in the rain.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Swimmers use the basement showers; five posts mention showers or changing rooms. The fee is disputed: around June 2025 one post says 3,000 won for shower plus locker, another 8,000 won per person for the shower. Both give 2,000 won for a beach towel. One post says to bring your own towel.

Parking

Parking is not a worry: thirteen posts parked in the big lot, one guessing it holds about a hundred cars. No post had trouble. The lot is shared with Dongado and Mulgogi Sanghoe.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside

Each floor sits differently. Fourteen posts mention the second floor and ten went up to the roof. Five describe the glass walls — upstairs has window seats looking down over the pool to the sea, with sofas on the other side. Two say the second floor is strongly air-conditioned, good in summer; two say it is quieter. One June 2025 post found the second floor packed.
The café starts at ground level: three posts put the order counter and toilets on the ground floor. Three others say the basement level holds the lockers and showers for swimmers — no café seating is underground.
Wheelchair access is mostly unknown. One post says a stroller gets in but not up to the roof. Nobody mentions a step at the door or a lift, and one post walked up the stairs to the upper floors. That means no one wrote about it, not that there isn't one.
Five posts say the toilets are inside — men's and women's next to the ground-floor counter, and more upstairs. Two confirm separate men's and women's rooms, and two mention a separate wash basin outside them. One post says the curtained entrance made it hard to tell it was the toilet.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices skew high. Of twelve posts that discussed price, three call it dearer than a normal café and two say it is pricey but fair given the pool or the desserts. Sunbeds and cabanas by the pool had no minimum up to a late-June 2025 visit; posts from August 2025 on say a sunbed needs an 80,000-won order and cabanas 150,000–210,000.
- Opening hours change from period to period. Posts from December 2024 to June 2025 mostly give 6 pm closing on Tuesday and Wednesday and 11:30 pm otherwise; four posts from August 2025 to January 2026 say 1 am; two from April and June 2026 say 6 pm daily. One December 2025 post still says 11:30 pm, and one April 2025 post alone gives 10 am to 10 pm. Most of this is copied from listings — check before you go.
- No post arrived by bus. One gives directions from the 600 airport bus and the No. 5 bus, but it reads as copied guidance and we did not count it. Three posts say they came by car.
- No post waited for a seat. Four went on a weekday or Monday and found it nearly empty; one queued at the counter to order at 1:30 pm in June 2026. Nobody describes a peak-summer weekend.
- Three posts came with children by day, mentioning a shallow kids' pool and sand to play in. One post heard it becomes adults-only after 6 pm when the pub opens; that is hearsay and we did not count it.
- Six posts give the phone number 0507-1440-2893; one each gives 064-739-5252 and 064-738-2881. Reservations appear only in copied listings; no post booked ahead.
- This is a reworked version of Badada, open since 2016. A post returning after five years found a heated pool, a fish shop and a grill added, and a Dongado post says the old Badada building became the grill. An April 2026 post says the pool had no opening date yet — pool operation may vary by season.
