우사미뷔페 Usami is short for 'uri sajangnim-i michyeosseoyo' — 'our boss has gone crazy' — a joke about how much the buffet puts out for the price.

Usami Buffet sits right across from Moseulpo harbour in Daejeong, Seogwipo (Choenamdan-haean-ro 51). You pay 13,000 won at the door and help yourself to Korean side dishes, cutlets, noodles and whatever raw fish came in that day — yellowtail in April posts, mackerel, damselfish, amberjack or bone-in sliced fish from June to September. Three posts say the place used to be a raw-fish restaurant. The adult price went from 12,000 to 13,000 won at the end of April 2026. What sets it apart
- Five visitors who went at opening, around 2 pm or at dinner opening didn't wait at all — one arrived at 11:15 to a nearly empty room. Two posts say there is a queue at peak lunch and right after opening on weekends and holidays; one more says there are no seats by noon, and two mention being asked to share tables when it's busy.
- Five posts mention a separate room with several tables besides the main hall. Four call the place spacious; one regular says it gets cramped and hectic when staff seat strangers together. One visitor advises sitting away from the draughty door.
- Adults and teens pay 13,000 won, primary schoolers 8,000 and ages 3-7 5,000, up front. A 23 April post still listed 12,000 for adults, 15,000 for dinner and 10,000 for a lunchbox; from 30 April ('they raised prices last week') everything is 13,000. Thirteen posts call it good value, one says it's a bit pricey for a Korean buffet, four don't decide.
- Four posts are repeat visits: a couple back after a July trip, someone on a third visit for the damselfish, a family who returned the very next day, and a local who went five times in two months. One visitor, there at dinner opening, found the food cold and picked-over and said once was enough.

Getting inside
No one says which floor it's on or whether there are stairs; the '1st floor' in the address isn't something a visitor reported.
No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair, even among families with toddlers.
Nobody wrote about the toilets — where they are or whether they're separated by gender.

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on the side room: two from July and August say you keep your shoes on, while one from April calls it a floor-seating room. We can't tell whether it changed or one writer saw it differently.
- No one describes arriving by bus; two say they drove, and most others talk about parking. We don't know how easy it is by public transport.
- Most posts give opening hours as 11:00-20:00 with a 15:00-17:00 break. Six say Wednesdays close at 15:00 with no dinner; four say it's the same every day. One August post lists lunch only (11:00-15:00), likely copied from before dinner service was added. Most of these are copied from the Naver listing.
- Eight posts give the phone number as 064-792-2991; one lists 2992 as a reservations line. Nobody says whether bookings are actually taken.
- There's no telling which fish will be out. One July visitor found no sashimi at all, only seasoned damselfish; another couldn't eat the bone-in cuts; a third waited a long time for a refill at peak. Several suggest going near opening if the fish is the point.
