A hotel buffet on the fifth floor of the Marriott wing at Jeju Shinhwa World. It serves breakfast (7-11 a.m.), lunch (noon-2:30 p.m.) and dinner (6-9:30 p.m.); listed adult prices are 58,000 won for breakfast, 65,000 for lunch and 149,000 for dinner. Dinner revolves around a live grill (Korean beef tenderloin, lamb chops, lobster), sushi made to order and unlimited wine and draught beer; breakfast is mostly hotel guests. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to October 2026, 22 of them actual meals (8 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 10 dinners, 1 invited event). Ten went with family, five with a spouse or partner.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Waiting depends on the meal and on whether you booked. Four posts waited: 40 minutes for breakfast, a line already formed before the 6 p.m. dinner opening, a crowd already waiting at 11:40 for lunch, and a short wait for a walk-in dinner. Two got straight in (a booked dinner, a December 2025 lunch). One lunch post says there is a sofa right outside the lift where you can sit until opening.
  2. Nine posts mention the window seats, with views through floor-to-ceiling glass over the Shinhwa World plaza. Getting one comes down to booking: two posts booked ahead and were seated by the window; one booked two days ahead, did not get one, and was told window seats need booking two months out. Eight posts say they booked. One found the dinner lighting dim and the middle tables uncomfortable.
  3. Cooking to order is the heart of dinner. Five posts say dishes are made on request: tenderloin, lamb and lobster grilled on the spot, sushi made with less rice when asked. One post found the pre-grilled sirloin and lamb a bit tough by comparison.
  4. Drinks are included at dinner. Eight posts mention wine and five draught beer. One counted two sparklings, four whites, eight-plus reds and two draught beers; another says a sommelier suggested and poured wines to match the food. A summer visitor found most wines light-bodied.
4 more
  1. Eight posts came with children. Four mention high chairs; one says the chair and baby tableware were set at the table in advance after mentioning the baby when booking, and staff brought tongs and scissors for cutting food. At breakfast, toddler plates, cups and spoons sit together in one spot.
  2. Few posts paid full price. Six say they got a discount: 50% for a pregnant guest and 20% for companions (three posts), a Jeju-resident discount (two), and a Naver booking discount (one). One December 2025 lunch post paid 52,000 won for the husband and 32,500 won for the pregnant guest.
  3. Seven posts call the room spacious; one disagrees, saying it is smaller than expected but tables are well spaced.
  4. Three posts say the lamb has no gamey smell, and the same three describe the steak as juicy.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 21 posts read)
Lift to the floor6 of 21 posts

Six posts say you take the lift from the Marriott-wing lobby up to the fifth floor. No post describes going below ground.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or how a wheelchair or stroller gets in. We only know a lift goes to the fifth floor; that is not the same as saying access is fine.

No post mentions where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on noise split one to one: one post found the room calm, another was bothered by loud diners and noted staff did not step in.
  • No post actually arrived by bus. Mentions of bus 255 or the Shinhwa World line are copied information; the writers drove or were staying at the resort.
  • Seven posts give the same hours: daily 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., closed 11 a.m.-noon and 2:30-6 p.m. Five of these are copied listings; only one copied block says there is no closing day.
  • Prices here are list prices. Dinner at 149,000 won is consistent from August 2025 to October 2026. Two posts give lunch as 65,000 won; a single copied table from September 2025 says 69,000, so we do not treat it as a change. With so many discounts around, what people actually paid varies.
  • Two phone numbers appear: 064-908-1200 (three posts) and 0507-1494-1428 (two). Posts booked through Naver or by phone.
  • Four posts about Landing Dining, the seafood buffet on the G floor of the Landing wing in the same resort, were excluded. Many posts compare the two, so check which buffet a review is describing.
