Gwakdon
곽돈 Gwakdon is written 郭豚 — gwak, a walled town, and don, pig; one diner explains it as 'the pig inside the walls', i.e. the pig of Gwakji, the beach village it stands in.

A charcoal-grill black-pork house at 20 Gwakji 3-gil, Aewol, right across from Gwakji Beach next to a Twosome Place café. You order black-pork belly or neck one portion at a time (20,000 won) and grill it yourself over charcoal at the table; it is also known for very thick marinated LA-cut ribs. Off-cut 'jjaturi' meat (14,000 won) can be added only after a main order. Guests of the nearby Gilgaon pension and Marebo Beach Hotel get soybean stew and steamed egg free. We read 30 posts from 3 March 2025 to 10 October 2026; two were about other restaurants and 27 describe an actual meal here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Thickness is the most repeated remark: thirteen posts call the meat thick. Of the LA ribs, one diner used to centimetre-thin cuts was startled by ribs three to four centimetres thick, and another said they had never seen ribs that thick. One notes the thickness means it takes a while to grill.
- The off-cut meat cannot be your first order: five posts say it is only available after a main cut. Posts from July 2025 and March 2026 price the black-pork belly trimmings at 14,000 won for 200 g; one April 2025 post says 15,000 won. One diner was told they are simply pieces too ragged to sell as a regular cut.
- Four posts say they chose the place because meat comes by the single portion rather than in multi-person sets — though three of those are by one blogger about the same July 2025 visit.
- There is a tie-in with nearby lodgings: eight posts got free soybean stew and steamed egg as guests of the Gilgaon pension or Marebo Beach Hotel. One got both after showing a room key; one got only the egg because the stew had run out. The receipt-review drink, the Naver egg coupon and the 10% off at the Twosome next door are promotions copied from the shop's notices — no post says they used them.
2 more
- Eleven posts call the room spacious, often mentioning the wide gaps between tables. A large family pushed tables together to sit as one group, and another diner noticed a stroller fitting easily beside the next table. The '100 seats' figure is the shop's own claim, repeated by bloggers.
- Five posts went with children and five saw a high chair for themselves; a family with a 27-month-old said the high chair made it just right for them.

Parking
2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Two posts describe parking firsthand: a few spaces right in front, but one recommends the larger free public lot behind; the other says the free lot is just outside the back door. 'Basement car park' and 'own parking' appear only in copied info blocks.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs; the '1st floor' in the address and the 'basement car park' are copied details. That is not evidence either way — nobody wrote about it.
No post mentions a step at the entrance or wheelchair access. Two note there is both a front and a back door, one saw a stroller parked by a table inside, and one repeats that strollers are allowed in.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separate for men and women.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Whether staff grill for you varies. Six posts say they did, four had to grill themselves, and three say staff put the first pieces on or turned meat when not busy. It does not track the date; one diner wrote that reviews promised table-side grilling but theirs was self-service, probably depending on how busy it was.
- Opening hours have shifted, and every figure is copied from info blocks. Four March 2025 posts give a 2-4 pm break and evening-only opening (from 5 pm) on Thursdays and Saturdays; six posts from July 2025 to March 2026 give daily 11:00-22:00 with a 2-5 pm break; three from September-October 2026 give a 3-5 pm break. Last order is 9 pm throughout. One October 2025 post lists a weekly Thursday closure but also says 'daily' in the same line, so we disregard it.
- Prices: LA ribs were 22,000 won for 250 g in March 2025 and 25,000 won in October 2026. Belly and neck at 20,000 won, stews at 5,000 won and steamed egg at 3,000 won are unchanged across the period. One pair paid 54,000 won for two portions of belly plus one of off-cuts. Six posts call it good value or cheaper than elsewhere.
- No post arrived by bus. Most walked from nearby lodgings (one to ten minutes); one came by taxi and was dropped across the road, then had trouble finding the entrance.
- No post reports waiting. Three went early in the evening or around 6 pm on a weekday and found it quiet; one late-evening visit found it fairly full of local families. Nobody wrote about peak weekend dinner.
- Company: seven posts went with family, seven as a couple, four with a friend (three of them the same visit), and two in a larger group.
- Nine posts give the same phone number, 064-799-9942. One booked ahead and found the table already set.
- The 'Burger Hyung' YouTuber endorsement sign, the 'top-grade pork trimmed in-house' line and the house-made anchovy sauce and pickles are the shop's own claims, repeated by bloggers; we do not rely on them. One October 2025 post is a generic write-up with no firsthand detail and is not counted as a visit.
