Bonjuk & Bibimbap Incheon Cheongna Hosugongwon-jeom

본죽&비빔밥 인천청라호수공원점 Bonjuk is a nationwide chain of Korean porridge and bibimbap shops; this branch is a five-or-six-table unit on the ground floor of an office block beside Cheongna Lake Park in Incheon, with a steady trade in takeaway.

Data as of · Published ·

Bonjuk & Bibimbap Incheon Cheongna Lake Park is a porridge-and-bibimbap shop in unit 102, ground floor of the Hael S-Space building beside Cheongna Lake Park. It is a franchise, but the writers are specific about this branch — one eats lunch here because it is in her office building, three times a week; another picks up porridge whenever her children are ill. There are only five or six tables and a steady trade in takeaway. Beyond the porridges there are stone-pot bibimbaps and poke bowls, and a red-bean noodle dish arrived in the summer of 2026. You can choose the salt, the sweetness and how finely the porridge is ground, and takeaway is divided into small containers on request. The posts we read run from October 2024 to September 2026. That is seven posts, not twenty-five. This one building shares a street address, so ten posts about an enzyme sauna on the sixth floor, a massage room on the eleventh, a grilled-fish house and a Chinese restaurant on the second and a salad shop on the ground floor came in with the name; five more are about other Bonjuk branches in Cheongna, and two are nationwide lists of newly registered restaurants. We also set aside one post ordered to the writer's home by delivery app.

What sets it apart

  1. Five or six tables, no more. One writer puts it plainly: if your lunch hour collides with everyone else's, you take it away. Another counted about fourteen seats. So the place runs half as a dining room and half as a counter — one writer notes how many people are collecting, one carried a bowl back for the colleague left in the office, one picks up porridge when her children are ill. Ask for half of it boxed and they will box half of it (two posts).
  2. Four posts record the welcome. The woman who came three times a week on the smile she got each time; two others simply that the staff are kind, every time; and one pair who asked whether two of them could share a single bowl in the shop, and were told yes. A parent adds that the children's porridge was ladled out into small bowls for them.
  3. You can come by bus, or on foot. One writer, lunching with colleagues, locates it by the Nonghyup branch in the same building and the bus stop right outside. A neighbour writes that she mostly walks or cycles, so parking has never mattered to her. Two accounts of arriving without a car is more than most places here manage.

Parking

1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park1 of 6 posts

One post talks about parking, and says two things: the building has an underground car park, but the free hour runs out about when you finish eating, and in the evening it is easier to leave the car at the Cheongna 3-dong community centre across the road. She mostly walks, as it happens. The other six posts never mention a car.

Getting there

Map showing where Bonjuk & Bibimbap Incheon Cheongna Hosugongwon-jeom is

Getting inside

It is unit 102 on the ground floor. Five posts carry the check-in line that says so; one writes "second floor, unit 102" in the body while its own check-in says ground, which reads as the writer's slip. Nobody says anything about steps or a lift. Posts about the other tenants describe taking the lift up from the car park, but those are their shops, not this one.

No post says whether you can get in with a wheelchair or a pram — no threshold, no ramp, no door. Three writers came with children and none of them mentions a pram. One post reports that there seemed to be no high chair, but that post is about a different branch and we set it aside — so we do not know about the high chairs here either.

No post says anything about the toilet — not whether it is inside the shop or out in the building, not whether men's and women's are separate. It may well be a shared one, this being a ground-floor unit in a commercial block, but we do not invent what the posts do not say.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Nobody queued, but at lunch there may be nowhere to sit. The writer who arrived at one in the afternoon found it quiet — she was told, inside, that at twelve every table had been full. A weekday-morning visitor had the room to herself. But the woman who came at lunchtime every week writes that if your hour collides with everyone else's, you take it away. With five or six tables, both can be true.
  • Two posts give the hours, they disagree, and we do not know which is current. A February 2025 post says ten to half past nine, closed Sundays; an April 2025 post says it opens at 9:50 and closes at eleven at night, last orders half past ten. Eleven at night is late for a porridge shop, but that is what the post says and we have not corrected it. With only two accounts neither clears our threshold of two matching ones, so the hours box is empty — we will fill it when a third person writes it down. Ring ahead on 032-721-7776, and especially about Sundays: one post says closed, while the delivery post we set aside says 9:50 to 3.
  • No post declares a sponsorship. Four say they paid their own way; the other three do not say. But only two posts name a price at all — beef-and-mushroom porridge ₩11,000 and prawn porridge ₩10,500, both from November 2025 — so we cannot tell you what anything costs now. One writer passes on a ₩2,000 coupon, but that is the chain's own promotion rather than anything this branch does.
