Seomin Galbi
서민갈비 A 1989 charcoal galbi house behind the Masan ballpark, where five portions of marinated pork rib bring two more free
Data as of · Published ·
Seomin Galbi is a marinated-pork-rib house in a lane behind Changwon NC Park, the ballpark in Masan. It has held its licence since 1989, and the trade it is registered under — butchery, charcoal-grilled — is what actually happens at the table: you grill your own over a burner that runs charcoal and electricity together. There is really one dish, marinated pork rib, 200g for ₩10,000, and order five portions and two more come free. Alongside it people take a ₩3,000 soybean stew with blue crab in it, and cold noodles at the end; a steamed egg arrives free. It is an old-style meat house you walk into with your shoes on, with rooms off the left and the back that groups fill. The posts we read run from October 2024 to September 2026.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours
What sets it apart
- Half of what gets written about this place is the five-for-seven. Nearly every visitor mentions it, and it changes how people order: couples come in and ask for five anyway, because the kitchen packs what is left. One party of three took delivery of seven portions and describes a mountain of meat; another pair ate about four and carried three home. The deal covers the marinated pork rib only — one writer notes the pork belly is excluded.
- A steamed egg comes to the table for nothing. One writer, who had brought his child, assumed it was a kindness meant for them, looked around, and found every table had one. A second costs ₩2,000. Several call it soft and seasoned exactly right; the one writer who found the meat under-salted found the egg under-salted too.
- The prices have not moved in two years. A January 2025 post puts the pork rib at ₩10,000 a portion; an August 2026 post still puts it at ₩10,000. Five posts between January and October 2025 all give ₩3,000 for the stew. The closing hour appears to have changed in that stretch; the prices did not. One writer notes the shop carries the city's Good Price Shop badge.
- They ask, before the meat comes, whether you want the leaner cut or the fattier one. Four writers record being asked; one asked for lean because her son picks at fat, and got lean. They watch the fire too — two writers were shown how to balance the charcoal against the electric element, and one, in a quiet hour, had the owner grill for her. But it is not a grill-service house — another writer states plainly that you cook your own.
- The sweetness is where people part company. Some say it is neither salty nor sweet enough to trouble anyone, which is why they bring their parents; others find it cloying by the end of seven portions. Two writers say it tastes like the galbi house their fathers took them to. One says the opposite — the marinade thin, the meat bland — and, in the same paragraph, reports that the table next to hers was calling the meat delicious.
- You keep your shoes on. Three writers went out of their way to say so, and one copied down the notice inside the door telling you to — which is its own evidence of how many people hesitate. The room reads like somebody's house, with side rooms off it, and that is probably why.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Six writers list parking in the block of facts at the top; one of them actually parked. She drove the family over and reports no car park of its own, room for about two cars in front, and the lanes or a public lot otherwise. The other five give a line — kerbside, the public lot nearby, the ballpark's car park — of the kind people copy across, so we did not count them. Whether those two spaces are free on a game night, nobody says.

Getting there

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read) |
|---|
No post says what floor this is on. Several describe walking in; none mention stairs or a storey. One calls the room house-like and one mentions a back yard. We have no grounds to tell you it is at street level, and none to tell you it is not.
Nobody has written about getting in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. Across twenty-four posts the words for ramp, threshold, step and wheelchair do not appear once. Three writers brought children and one notes there is a high chair, but not one of them looked at the doorway. Two mention that many of the customers are elderly, which tells us nothing about the way in.
One person looked at the toilet and wrote it down. She reports it is out at the back of the building, and adds that a woman might not find it comfortable. Two other posts list "toilet: yes" and "own toilet" in the block of facts at the top, which is the kind of line people copy off a listing, so we did not count them as anything seen. Whether it is separated by sex, or reachable without going outside, nobody says.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Twenty-eight posts matched this address; we counted twenty-four. One is long and courteous and never says what was ordered, in what quantity, or for how much — no meal we can count. One is a review of a different galbi house a few streets away, swept in because it compares three Masan galbi houses and ours is on the list. One is a diary entry by a writer who posted a full review of the same single visit the same day. One is a news listing of restaurants near ten ballparks, name and address only.
- There is beef galbi on the board and nobody in our posts has eaten it. Not one of the twenty-four ordered it; the ₩11,000 comes from a photograph of the menu. One writer, noticing the beef was only ₩1,000 more, asked the owner which was better and was told, without hesitation, the pork. The brisket has been eaten once and the beef belly not at all. We cannot tell you what the beef is like here.
- Not one writer says how to get here by bus or train. Every direction in these posts is measured from the ballpark: five minutes on foot, says one; one of many lanes in Sanho-dong that you will have to look up, says another. Almost everyone came for a game, and so nobody has written the way here for someone who is not going to the baseball.
- Nobody reports queueing, and four writers came close to not getting a table. One arrived to a full room and says a few minutes later there would have been nothing; one looked in from the street, saw every table taken, asked anyway and got the last seat at the back; one photographed only the empty corner because the place was so full. Against that, a man who came alone at four on a Friday afternoon writes that there is never anyone here. These posts cannot tell you whether you will wait on a game night — two of them only guess that it fills up after the final out.
- The hours appear to have changed over these two years. Eight posts put closing at midnight and every one of them is from between October 2024 and August 2025; three put it at eleven and every one of them is from 2026. The closing days move the same way — two summer-2025 posts say the shop never closes, a November 2025 post says the second Monday, three 2026 posts say the second and fourth. This reads as a change rather than a disagreement, but we cannot tell which is current, so both are shown. Only one writer says there is no afternoon break, having turned up at half past three and been fed. One gives up and tells readers to phone. One had her evening cut short by closing time; another was the last table and watched them shut a little early.
- No post here declares a sponsorship. We read the bodies and the hashtag blocks at the end; the words for gift, sponsorship and tasting panel never appear, eight writers state they paid, and one of those photographed the receipt. One post, though, belongs to a Changwon clinic's marketing blog — it reads as a family meal and claims nothing, but we do not know what the shop is to them.
