Halmeoni-ui Buttumak Suji is a small home-cooking restaurant on a street corner in Pungdeokcheon-dong, Yongin. In practice there is one dish: the Buttumak set, ₩14,000 a head — fire-grilled pork with dressed spring onion, a clay pot of cheonggukjang per person, black rice and six side dishes, all at once. Without the meat it is ₩10,000. They pour barley tea instead of water, and refill rice and side dishes for free. A Blue Ribbon Survey 2024 sticker is on the door, and several writers say it is why they came in. Daily 11:00–21:00, closed 15:00–17:00, last orders 20:15. The posts we read run from December 2025 to September 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours
What sets it apart
- This is the original branch of a chain. One writer repeats what the customer at the next table told them: that this was the first shop, and that the owner who built it now looks after the other branches. We could not verify that, but the spread is documented across the posts — Gangnam, Seolleung, Jeongja, Dongbaek, Migeum, Bojeong, Gwanggyo, Gwacheon, with Mangpo in Suwon and Olympic Park opening in September 2026. Check which branch you are reading about: one writer had also eaten at the Bundang Jeongja branch, another came here after trying Gangnam. Everything counted below comes from this one address.
- The room is tiny — most people who count give two four-tops, three two-tops and a short counter by the window: about five tables. But it turns over fast. You write your order and party size on the waiting list before you sit, so the food lands almost as you do; several posts say under five minutes. That is why so many writers say a long-looking queue moves quickly. One put it as: there is a wait, and there isn't.
- Rice does not come in individual bowls. Two portions arrive in one wooden bowl and you help yourself. Writers call it heaped, one reckons two and a half bowls' worth, and you can still ask for more rice and more side dishes at no charge — several did. The side dishes change from day to day: no two posts list the same set. Lotus root, stir-fried fish cake, pickled chilli and radish kimchi turn up most.
- They pour barley tea, not water. A small thing, but several writers single it out, every time next to the words "like home cooking." One winter visitor notes hot barley tea was also on offer here, unlike at another branch. Two writers also mention the fabric deodoriser left by the door, for the cheonggukjang smell on your clothes.

- Not one writer calls it expensive. Meat, stew and six side dishes for ₩14,000 a head draws the Korean word for "generous" again and again. Nor has the price moved: across nine months, from December 2025 to September 2026, every post gives ₩14,000 for the set and ₩10,000 for the soup-and-rice. The only grumble about money anywhere is that the add-on fried egg, at ₩1,500, felt slightly steep.

Parking

There is no car park. Accounts from people who drove split: several parked easily in the metered bay right outside or the Pungdeokcheon No.1 public car park across the road, while one calls parking hard and recommends public transport, and another gave up and used the forecourt of a closed shop nearby. The street bay is paid — ₩900 per thirty minutes, first ten minutes free, ₩9,000 a day by one account — and two writers say it is free at weekends. The restaurant does not validate.

Where it is

Getting inside
No post describes floors or stairs. The licence gives this as a ground-floor address and several writers say it is easy to spot from the main road, but nobody records whether you step up or down on the way in.
Not one post mentions a step, a ramp or a wheelchair. The closest anyone comes: one writer walked here pushing a pram. Even they do not say whether the pram came inside, or whether there is a lip at the door. Plenty of posts call the room cramped, but nobody is describing aisle width. If you are coming in a wheelchair or with a pushchair, calling ahead is the only way to find out (031-8004-0827).
Not one post mentions the toilet — inside the room, out in the building, shared or not. That is not a statement that there isn't one; it means we do not know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Five of the thirty posts are not counted. One was about the chain's Dongbaek branch. One was a licence-registry dump listing 441 newly opened restaurants nationwide — this shop is not in it; two brand-new branches, in Mangpo and Olympic Park, are. One was a Bundang resident's month of diary entries: every other place in it is in Jeongja, there is a Jeongja branch, and we could not tell which shop they meant. Two more stay in the denominator but do not count as visits: one is a machine-written information page with no record of eating anything — an English word survives untranslated in it, and it states the shop closes on Mondays, where twenty other posts say it opens daily — and the other says the writer helped themselves at a self-service refill bar, when everyone who actually got a refill describes a server bringing it, and nobody has seen such a bar.
- Two posts disclose that they were sponsored — one marks it in the text and the hashtags, one in the hashtags of a video clip. Both are counted below, and neither says anything the unsponsored posts contradict. Separately, two writers were given a free fried egg, which is not sponsorship: it is a standing promotion for anyone who follows the shop on Naver.
