Narita

나리타 Narita (成田) is the Japanese place name in Chiba best known for its international airport; one regular notes the name comes from Naritasan, the temple famous for New Year visits.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Japanese-style izakaya on the second floor of the Vitamin Plaza building (formerly the No Brand building) in Okjeong's central shopping district, Yangju. The ceiling is covered in artificial cherry blossoms, and live eels kept in a tank by the door go into its grilled eel; all ten posts that gave a price said 27,000 won for one. You order from a tablet or kiosk at the table, and three posts said two people spent 50,000–70,000 won (50,900, 52,800 and 67,000 won). We read 30 posts dated 5 April 2025 to 31 August 2026: two were about something else (a nasal spray, Narita Airport) and were set aside, two only introduced the place, and 26 describe a visit. The three posts from April–May 2025 never mention eel; it appears from April 2026 on.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The eel is prepared only once you order: taken from the tank by the door, cleaned, then grilled. Three posts said they waited a little for it, one calling that the only downside. Two described the eel being caught after they ordered; elsewhere 'caught to order' is the house's own line, repeated, and we did not count it.
  2. Eleven posts sat by the big windows, and three said staff opened them wide on a fine evening. All of these are from April–June 2026, so we don't know whether they open in summer or winter.
  3. Seating varies: seven posts mention floor (tatami-style) seating, two of them saying you take your shoes off; others describe partitioned tables and a raised section a few steps up.
  4. Ten posts got complimentary starters — a purple sweet-potato puffed snack plus pickled radish, pickles and pickled chilli; one said peanuts followed when the snack ran out.
4 more
  1. Eight posts said the eel or seafood had no fishy smell; none said otherwise.
  2. Of eighteen posts that discussed price, eleven said it wasn't expensive; one said it wasn't a light bill but worth it; none called it expensive. Three gave a full bill for two: 52,800 won without alcohol, 50,900 won with a bottle of soju, and 67,000 won with four dishes, a bottle of soju and three beers.
  3. Nine posts came as a couple and five with friends; one mentions a spouse coming here for a work-dinner second round.
  4. Eleven posts ordered from a tablet or kiosk at the table.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 26 posts

Only one post parked and said so (in the building, three hours free). The rest copy the listing — mostly 'building basement car park', but one names the Poly Tower building, so where to park is unsettled.

Getting inside

Second floor13 of 26 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 14 (of 26 posts read)
Lift to the floor4 of 26 posts

Thirteen posts put it on the second floor, four of them taking the lift up; one post alone said third floor.

We don't know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair/stroller access — nobody wrote about it. Four posts did take the lift; the 'accessible facilities' line in one 2025 post is copied from the listing.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or split by gender — not because there isn't one, but because nobody mentioned it.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post described getting there by public transport: about ten minutes by bus from Deokgye Station. Other posts' 'easy by transit' remarks weren't based on the trip and weren't counted.
  • No post reported queuing; one post's 'worth waiting for' is a recommendation, not an experience. Two 2025 posts booked through Naver and got a free skewer.
  • Twenty posts gave opening hours, nearly all 'daily 15:00–02:50, last order 01:50', mostly copied from the listing; one said until 03:00. Seven said it may close early on quiet weekdays. No post gave a day off.
  • The phone number changed: two posts from April–May 2025 gave 010-2688-9344, while 2026 posts gave 010-7577-3390 (five) and 031-857-2299 (four). The only bookings described were made through Naver.
  • Some prices conflict: salmon sashimi was 24,900 won in April 2025 and June 2026 posts but 19,900 won in a May 2026 menu copy. Four posts call the eel options 'basic or spicy', while one menu copy says 'salt or sauce'.
  • Eight posts from May–June 2026 carry the same five hashtags in the same order and none discloses sponsorship; three posts from April–May 2025 share stock phrases too. Each records a real meal, so we counted them, but read the volume of praise with that in mind.
