Eoseowa Kalguksu Yangju Okjeong-jeom

어서와칼국수 양주옥정점 Eoseowa is the casual Korean 'come on in, welcome' — the chain calls itself Welcome Noodles; kalguksu are knife-cut noodles in broth.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

A beef-bone kalguksu and cauldron-boiled pork restaurant on the ground floor (unit 109) of Hangil Plaza 2 in Okjeong's central shopping strip, Yangju. Brisket kalguksu is 11,000 won and the spicy haejang bowl 12,000; double portions, rice and self-serve barley bibimbap cost nothing. Groups order the Eoseowa Hansang (pork with squid salad, 45,900 won in October posts); one family of four paid 87,000 won for the set, a potato pancake and two noodle bowls. It is a chain branch that opened on August 31, 2026, in the former 88 Rotary space, per the brand's own blog. We read 30 posts from September 6 to October 19, 2026; 27 describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Thirteen posts mention the free maesil (green-plum) tea at the self-serve corner after the meal. Many also photographed the hair ties, floss, mouthwash and lollipops by the counter.
  2. Three posts saw a line themselves: one arrived around 6 p.m. and a queue formed about 20 minutes later, one saw waiting start before the dinner peak, one saw crowds while passing. Two more just missed one — a single table left at noon, and 'we'd have waited without a booking.' There is a CatchTable kiosk at the door.
  3. Five posts booked ahead; some found a welcome card with their name on the table.
  4. Eleven posts came with family — the most common case — three were couples and one was a party of six.
3 more
  1. Eight posts brought children. Kids seven and under get a free tray of rice, broth, minced pork, laver and a drink, and parents who got one said the meat was generous.
  2. Four posts saw plenty of high chairs themselves; posts that only copied 'high chairs available' from the listing were not counted.
  3. Seven posts say the boiled pork had no gamey smell; none said otherwise.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 25 posts

Only one post actually parked: in the building's underground garage, with parking validated on the way out. Other mentions of free underground parking were copied from the listing and not counted. Nobody says how many spaces there are or how long is free.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 25 posts read)
Step-free access1 of 25 posts

Six posts place it on the ground floor as they found it — 'on the first-floor corner, easy to spot', 'below Deungchon Kalguksu on the second floor.' It is not a basement space.

One post wheeled a stroller in and found enough room between tables. Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair access — we simply don't know.

No post says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or gender-separated. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No one described arriving by subway or bus — only that it is near the Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation building and Okjeong Lake Park. We don't know how it works by transit.
  • Of 20 posts giving hours, 19 say 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:00), open every day; one says it opens at 11:30. The break changed: posts through September 26, 2026 list a weekday 15:00–17:00 break (none on weekends), while posts from October 12 say there is no break. One October 14 post still lists the weekday break, apparently copied from an old listing.
  • The Hansang set price changed: 49,000 won in posts from September 6 and 19, 45,900 won from October 7. The September 6 post says its medium set included kalguksu, while the September 19 post added noodles for 9,000 won, so we can't tell whether the contents changed too. The two noodle bowls (11,000 and 12,000 won) stayed the same.
  • Four posts joined or saw the receipt-review promotion. September posts describe a choice of a 100-won drink, 500-won salted oysters or 1,000-won sample pork; October posts describe a free drink or bottle of soju plus sample pork for groups of three, so the terms appear to have changed.
  • Seven posts give the phone number 0507-1375-3488; one gives 031-868-2168 and another 010-7539-3488. Bookings are said to go through CatchTable and Naver.
  • Many posts look like templated sponsored copy: the same keyword set ('Yangju Okjeong solo dining', 'lunch'), the same free-kids-meal and amenities lists, the same 'felt like an honored guest' line, and two posts with nearly identical text. Only two disclose sponsorship, so the rest are counted as undisclosed. Claims like '12-hour broth', 'kimchi master' and 'boiled 4–7 times a day' are the restaurant's own signage, repeated rather than verified.
