Korean

Deureuwa

드르와 Deureuwa is a playful spelling of the Korean 들어와, 'come on in'.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

Deureuwa is a baekban (set home-style meal) restaurant on the second floor of Poly Tower, unit 203, in the Okjeong central shopping district of Yangju. There is one item, the baekban, listed at 11,000 won. You pay at the kiosk by the door, staff bring the first tray, and you top up rice, soup and sides at a self-serve bar. Posts describe 11 to 12 side dishes plus a main side that changes daily — bulgogi, boiled pork, tonkatsu, spicy pork, tteokgalbi. With a baekban you can add self-cook ramyeon for 3,000 won. Two posts say it moved here from Minrak-dong in Uijeongbu, where it was 'Deureuwa Pocha'. We read 12 posts from November 2024 to March 2026; 10 record a meal there. One was about a different restaurant and was set aside, and one was the same visit reposted on another blog, so we counted it once.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Nine of the 10 meal posts say rice, soup and sides are refilled from the self-serve bar — rice and soup in warmers near the door, sides by the kitchen. One post notes the daily main side is not refilled.
  2. Seven posts describe paying first at the kiosk by the entrance and then taking a seat; one adds that you choose dine-in or takeout there.
  3. Posts split on price: five call it good value, one finds a baekban over 10,000 won hard to justify, and two say it looks pricey but the meal makes up for it. The 11,000 won price is the same in nine posts from November 2024 to March 2026.
  4. Four posts found it generous; one says the rice is served heaped, another left some because there was so much.

  1. Four posts mention barley or solomon's-seal tea in place of water and hot tea at the self-serve bar; one also mentions coffee.

Parking

3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park3 of 10 posts

Three posts parked in the building garage or describe it as roomy — one says there is plenty of space on levels 5 and 6, another reminds you to register your car after eating. 'One hour free parking' appears only in copied info blocks, so we did not count it.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 8 (of 10 posts read)
Lift to the floor2 of 10 posts

Eight posts place it on the building's second floor; two say you take the elevator and it is right in front of you, and one says the elevator at the far left as you face the car park is the easiest way in.

Nobody wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; we only know the elevator reaches the second floor.

Nobody mentioned the toilets — whether they are inside or shared in the building. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Two posts say this is 'Deureuwa Pocha' from Minrak-dong, Uijeongbu — a bar at night and a baekban place by day — moved to Okjeong; a third only thought it looked like the Uijeongbu place. The move predates our first post (November 2024).
  • Opening hours changed. A February 2025 post lists Mon–Sat 11:00–16:00, closed Sunday; an April 2025 post 11:00–14:00, closed Sunday; three posts from February–March 2026 list 09:00–15:00, closed Saturday and Sunday. All are copied info blocks, and several say it closes early once food runs out. Call 031-853-0600 to check before going; one post recommends booking ahead for groups and another called ahead.
  • Seasoning is split: one post warns it may be too salty for a child, two found the sides mild or well judged. One post found the spicy pork too hot.
  • No post says it queued. One found it full at 1 p.m., one found it busy right at opening, and one warns you may share a table at peak times. That does not mean there is no wait — just that nobody recorded one.
  • Nobody described getting there by bus or subway. We don't know.
  • Only two posts say who they went with — one alone, one with a small child (who noted a high chair). We don't know how it works for friends or groups.
