Grill house
Choegoyang
최고양 A pun: choego means 'the best' and yang means 'lamb', so the name reads as 'the best lamb' and also sounds like a playful 'it's the best'.

A lamb grill on the ground floor of the R6 shopping block in Okjeong-dong, Yangju. Each table gets live charcoal and you grill the lamb rib steak and skewers yourself. Most people order the all-you-can-eat lamb rib steak, 39,900 won per adult in 2026 posts (39,000 won in 2025), which comes with one stew or dish per two people such as creamy jjamppong, mala soup or cream shrimp. A single 200 g steak is 31,900 won and ten lamb skewers are 15,000 won. We read 28 posts dated 11 July 2025 to 12 September 2026 and counted 23 as actual visits (two were about neighbouring shops, three were lists or generic write-ups). Six posts repeat the owner's account that the restaurant moved here from Goeup-dong.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Smell is what posts talk about most: 15 of the 20 posts that describe the food say the lamb had no gamey smell, several adding that the room itself didn't smell. Two posts found the steak clean but noticed a faint lamb note in the skewers.
- You grill yourself, but the owner comes to the table to show how to cook the ribs and wrap them in tortillas. Two posts say he grilled the first round for them, one quotes him saying this isn't a place that grills for you, and two say staff stepped in when they were struggling. Two posts found the grill plate small.
- The all-you-can-eat set runs 90 minutes. Of four posts, three say the clock counts from ordering and anything ordered in time can be finished afterwards; one says you must finish within 90 minutes of sitting down.
- Seven posts describe a curtained or walled group room behind the main hall; one counts four 4-seat tables, room for 16.
3 more
- Seven posts booked ahead. Several mention a free corn-noodle soup or highball for Naver bookings, and one says the staff moved their slot on the day without fuss during a storm.
- Seven posts order on a table tablet or kiosk, and a serving robot brings the food. Five say they got extra side dishes and tortillas on request.
- Couples dominate: seven posts went with a spouse or partner, three with family, one with friends and one as a group of four.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 23 posts |
|---|
The address says ground floor, but no post describes the floor or stairs from experience. We don't know.
No post describes a step, wheelchair or stroller entry; one copied listing line saying the entrance is wheelchair-accessible, which we did not count. Four posts note the door is around the left side of the building, not under the sign.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant. Whether it is split by gender, nobody reported from experience; one copied line says it is shared.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only two posts mention public transport; one, a Datepop piece, says bus 700 from Exit 7 of Deokgye Station comes straight here. The rest drove or didn't say.
- No post reports waiting for a table. One found it very quiet on a weekday evening; a few say it filled up while they ate. That isn't proof there's never a queue, only that nobody wrote about one.
- Opening hours read 14:00-24:00 on weekdays, closed Tuesdays, in nearly every post, though mostly copied from the listing. Weekends start at 11:30 in most posts (one says 11:00). Sunday closing is 24:00 in 2025 posts and 23:00 from March 2026. One post alone gives Monday as the day off.
- Prices have gone up: 2025 posts give 31,000 won for a 200 g steak and 39,000 won for all-you-can-eat; posts from November 2025 on give 31,900 and 39,900 won. Rib skewers went from 16,000 to 17,000 won. Two people on the unlimited set pay 79,800 won including one stew, drinks extra.
- Thirteen posts give the phone number as 0507-1420-4292; one gives 031-846-4292. Most who booked used Naver Booking.
- Dogs being allowed appears only in copied listings and a list post; nobody wrote about actually bringing one.
- That the restaurant ran as Lamb Plus in Goeup-dong and moved to Okjeong in 2024 comes from six posts relaying the owner or an in-store tablet. Every post we read is at the current address.
- Two Datepop pieces share almost identical wording: high ceiling, blue walls, roomy tables, mouthwash and hair ties at the counter. The high-ceiling remark appears only in those two. Two more posts tagged #Datepop #PopPass don't say whether they were sponsored, and we left one out because its menu doesn't match any other account.
