Dolsoe Ssambap
돌쇠쌈밥 Dolsoe is the stock name for a burly, hard-working farmhand in old Korean stories, and ssambap is rice and meat you wrap in a leaf — so the sign promises a farmhand's plateful.
Data as of · Published ·
Dolsoe Ssambap sits on the second floor of an office block on Misagangbyeonhangang-ro in Hanam. You pick one meat and the rest of the table arrives with it — wrapping greens, a spread of banchan, steamed egg, doenjang stew, a clay pot of ssamjang and rice — and every dish starts at two portions. The pork, beef, ribs and octopus come out already cooked; the two belly cuts you grill yourself. Eleven to nine daily, closed from three to five. Office workers at lunch; families with children and parents in the evenings and at weekends. The posts we read run from June 2025 to September 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart
- You cannot eat here alone. Five posts note that every set starts at two portions, and one writer's plan came apart on it: they had read somewhere that single portions were possible and went meaning to sample several dishes, only to be told it was two of the same or nothing. Whether that changed or the earlier post was wrong, no one asked the restaurant. Prices are per head, so two people pay ₩28,000 or ₩32,000.
- This is a place where you ask for more. Eight writers record actually getting a refill — one took two more rounds of greens, one asked only for more cabbage leaves, one went back for the bracken salad, one for more salted seafood to stir into the rice. But you do not help yourself: the self-serve counter holds plates, cutlery and wipes only, and greens and banchan come from the staff. One writer went looking for a self-serve station and found there wasn't one.
- Children come here. Six writers describe seeing the high chairs themselves — one counted four, one says the owner fetched one before they had sat down. Two more mention toddler bowls and children's trays kept separately. Five posts are written by people who brought a child, and one of them says plainly that a small room makes you feel watched with a baby and this one does not — a second, writing after becoming a parent, says the same — twenty posts call the place roomy, but for the parents that was a requirement, not a preference.
- Write a receipt review and they take 10% off. Six posts say so; one confirms writing the review and taking the discount, and another notes that drinks are excluded. The mentions run from August 2025 to September 2026, so it is not a one-off promotion. It is also a line about where reviews come from — some of the ratings on Naver were written to earn a discount, and the same caution applies to the blog posts we read.
- You get barley tea rather than water. Three writers stop to mention it, two of them because it was not plain water and one because barley tea in summer is worth saying out loud. A small thing, but three people in different seasons and different years all wrote it down. Two more note the fabric spray, floss and sweets left by the door.
- The prices have not moved. Every post that quotes a figure, from August 2025 to September 2026, lands on ₩14,000 or ₩16,000. Not one writer calls it expensive; fifteen call it cheap for what arrives. But "around ten thousand" is misleading — the two-portion minimum makes it ₩28,000 for a pair, and what makes the table look full is the spread around the meat rather than the meat itself. Fifteen say the portions are generous; none say they are small.
- The kitchen is open to the room. Two writers mention it and both give the same reason: you can see in, so they ate without worrying. Eleven posts call the place clean, among them one that noticed the sanitiser and deodoriser by the door, one that credits the per-table extraction for keeping the smell out of their clothes, and one that simply liked how the tongs and scissors were laid out.

Getting there

Getting inside
| Second floor | 14 of 29 posts |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 8 of 29 posts |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 29 posts read) |
It is upstairs, with no street-level frontage. Fourteen posts place it on the second floor and eight describe taking a lift. Six point out that you must enter through building A — two say park on the A side to come straight up, two say turn right out of the lift, one says the escalator leaves you facing the wrong way. Nobody describes a stair route or counts the steps. One writer thought they had the wrong address because the rest of the building is half empty; two more remark on how quiet it is.
Nobody writes about getting in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. In twenty-nine posts the words ramp, threshold and step never appear. Eight writers describe riding a lift up from the basement car park to the second floor, so it does not look like a stairs-only place — but a lift is not the same thing as a level doorway, and no one looked at the door. We do not know.
The toilet is outside the restaurant — and exactly one person says so ("out the door, on your left"), which reads as a shared toilet in the building. The other twenty-eight never mention it. One post ends with a line saying men's and women's are separate, but that line is lifted wholesale from the Naver listing, so it is not something that writer saw. How many stalls, whether they are separate, how far the walk — we do not know.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Do not take the sample at face value. Twenty of the thirty confirmed posts carry the same block of search phrases — one commissioning brief showing through twenty different bylines. We kept the ones that still record a price, a number of portions and something seen that day, and dropped only the single post that records no meal at all: its body is the search phrase repeated and it never names a dish. Two posts disclose that the meal was given — one says so in a line, the other tags its clip as an ad. One shows a receipt and says they paid. The remaining twenty-six say nothing about who paid.
- People drive here. Exactly one writer explains how to arrive without a car — ten minutes on foot from Misa station on line 5, exit 4. Against that, sixteen say they drove and parked in the basement, five of them noting how large the car park is. Several mention two hours free for diners; one goes on to give the rate after that. If you have no car, that single post is all the evidence we have for what the ten-minute walk is actually like.
- Five posts describe two stews arriving, doenjang and kimchi — and all five are old, between August 2025 and February 2026. Across the nineteen posts from March to September 2026, only the doenjang appears. One of the older writers was delighted at getting both, so something seems to have changed; but no post says the restaurant dropped it. All we can honestly report is that it stopped turning up in the writing.
- Whether you queue is genuinely split. One writer arrived to find the remote waiting list already closed for the night, and got a table only by asking. Another walked straight in at one in the afternoon. One booked ahead and thinks they would otherwise have waited; one noticed the bench outside. Everyone else is silent — six posts is not enough to call this a busy place or a quiet one.
