Ostia
오스티아 Osutia Ostia is the name of ancient Rome's harbour town at the mouth of the Tiber; the posts do not say why the house chose it.
Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →
Ostia is an Italian restaurant in a stand-alone building in Deokgye-dong, Yangju, reached by driving up past Deokgye Reservoir towards the city youth centre. It serves wood-fired pizza, pasta, risotto and steak, and nearly every post mentions the huge chandelier in the middle of the hall. Pastas for one run 17,900 to 18,900 won, pizzas 18,700 to 21,700 won, a 200 g sirloin 39,000 won; the weekday lunch set (salad, pizza, pasta) is 36,000 won and the dinner pasta set (salad, pizza, two pastas, two drinks) 59,000 won. An April 2025 post called it newly opened. We read 30 posts from April 2025 to October 2026; 26 of them describe an actual meal there.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- It is hard to reach without a car. Eight posts say they drove, and two say a car is much easier than walking or public transport. No post describes arriving by bus or on foot from Deokgye station.
- Five posts ordered on the tablet at each table. One adds that pickles, water and wet wipes are requested the same way; another that you pay on the way out.
- Four posts say a small complimentary salad arrives first ('a mini salad and pickles came out first'). This is separate from the house salad in the sets.
- Seven posts saw a group room behind glass partitions or a separate group area at the back. The line that the room is for bookings of five or more is the restaurant's own wording, repeated.
4 more
- It suits families. Seven posts saw or used high chairs, and six went with children. One warns there are not many high chairs and suggests calling ahead. Another says the owner left the chilli off a pizza for their child.
- Portions lean generous: six posts call them large ('I thought I'd burst'), while one ordered an extra risotto because the portions had seemed small on an earlier visit.
- No post calls it expensive; six say it is good value. Prices also held steady for over a year — house salad 9,900 won, gorgonzola pizza 19,700 won and seafood tomato pasta 18,900 won are the same in 2025 and 2026 posts.
- Six posts found it quiet enough for conversation; one noted the blender is audible when lemonade is made.

Parking is easy. Nineteen posts describe parking or the car park, and sixteen of them call it large — 'tons of space', 'the lot is behind the building'. One post says parking is free regardless of time.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 5 of 26 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read) |
The main hall is on the ground floor, with a second floor above. Five posts mention the upper floor, but a weekday-morning visitor found it closed and another thought it was mainly used for events; one more post only guessed it existed and found it shut. No post mentions a basement; one notes the ground floor alone is very large.
Nobody wrote about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and pushchair access. Several posts note the door is at the back, on the lawn side, not facing the car park.
Two posts found the toilets clean, but whether they are inside and separated by sex appears only in copied facility lists; no one described it first-hand.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Heat levels divide opinion: four posts found dishes spicy, two found them mild, and six said 'slightly spicy'. One diner could barely eat the pollock-roe cream pasta for the heat.
- No post mentions queueing, though posts note groups on a rainy Sunday and a fair crowd on a Monday. One found the food slow at lunchtime; three found it quick or reasonable. That means nobody wrote about waiting, not that there is none.
- Fourteen posts give opening hours, all 11:00 to 21:00, last order mostly 19:50 (one says 19:30), mostly copied from listings. Closing days differ: one post from a June 2025 visit says closed Tuesdays, while others say open daily or closed only on holiday days. The phone number 0507-1493-5040 is consistent across posts; two posts booked ahead.
- Many posts share the same phrases — dough 'aged 48 hours', a 'former hotel chef', seating for '90', a private car park 'not roadside parking' — repeated across May–June 2025 and August 2026 and also found in the restaurant's own post. Three posts declare sponsorship or a reviewer programme. We treat these lines as the restaurant's own claims and did not count them.
- The lunch set is weekday-only; one post says it is unavailable on weekends and holidays. 2025 posts list curry as a lunch-set option, but no 2026 post mentions curry, so we do not know if it is still served.
