Burgerry Dongtan Bansong is a burger shop on the ground floor of a commercial block on the main street of Namgwangjang, in Hwaseong. It is painted red and white and hard to miss. The beef patties are ground and grilled on site after the order goes in, and nearly every burger comes in a regular or a big size. You order at a kiosk, and if you eat in, the fizzy drinks are unlimited. There are three or four tables, seating about ten, so most of the trade is takeaway and delivery. One post dates the opening to November 2024; it is one branch of a chain. Open every day, half past ten in the morning to half past nine at night. The posts we read run from February 2025 to August 2026.

  One writer had the pickle left out; another was glad not to have to ask anyone for it.

Parking

7 posts say you can park; 1 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

The writers who actually parked agree with each other. They use the building's underground car park, and two report that the staff will validate an hour of it if you ask. Two more note that the lift from the car park comes out a few steps from the door. One says the car park runs three floors down and that the municipal lot next door, free for ninety minutes, takes the overflow. One post, though, states flatly that there is no parking. It is from October 2025, it gives no account of arriving by car, and the claim sits alone in a header block. The other fourteen "parking available" lines are the same kind of thing — listed, never used — so we have not counted them. That a post says it is not that the writer did it.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

No post says whether a wheelchair or a pushchair can get in. The words do not appear once in twenty-seven posts — no step, no threshold, no ramp. That it is at street level, and that the lift from the car park comes out nearby, is well attested; whether there is a lip at the door, nobody looked. Worth reading alongside the three or four tables and the one writer who found them close together. Three posts are from people who brought a child, and none of them mentions a high chair or a changing table.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Not one post says how to get here without a car. In twenty-seven posts there is no bus number and no walk from a station. Every set of directions is anchored either to where the writer parked or to a landmark — the main street, the shop opposite. That is probably because the people who write about this place live nearby: one passes it on the way to her study room, one found it walking around her own neighbourhood, one was staying at her boyfriend's flat ten minutes away. If you are coming without a car, this page cannot help you. The coordinates on the map are right; route yourself from those.
• Almost nobody writes about the toilet. Of twenty-seven posts, one mentions in passing that the wifi password, the toilet code and a bank account number for cash payers are all posted up inside. A code tells us there is a lock, not whether the toilet is in the shop or out in the building, and no post says whether men's and women's are separate. This is an absence of accounts, not an absence of a toilet.
• Three writers declare that they were given something — a meal voucher in one case, a bare sponsorship tag in another, and in the third a line about having received "a modest service". Six state the opposite as plainly: they paid. The remaining eighteen say nothing either way. The dates cluster. Eleven of the twenty-seven fall in February and March 2025, within a few months of the opening, and six of those carry an identical block of six hashtags. We have counted them anyway. The bodies are nothing alike: different orders, different prices, and observations that contradict each other — a five-minute wait against a fifteen-minute one, a claim of no parking against six accounts of parking. What separates a real visit from a commissioned one is whether there is a record of eating, and there is. But it is worth knowing that a good deal of the praise here was written in the shop's first months.
• Three of the thirty confirmed posts have been taken out of the count, which leaves twenty-seven. The first is one writer posting the same piece twice — word for word on a second platform four days later. Counting both would turn one visit into two. The second is a delivery eaten at home. It opens with everyone ordering what they fancied and goes on to the box arriving; there is not a line about the shop. The third is a week of diary entries carrying two check-ins, in which this place gets one sentence: a very good beef-and-prawn burger eaten at a desk. She ate the food; she was never in the room. All thirty are genuinely about this shop. Every check-in carries this branch's name and its street number, so nothing had to be thrown out as somebody else's restaurant.
• Nobody reports queueing. But with about ten seats it can be full at lunchtime — one writer says she has walked past and seen no table free, and only just got one herself that day; another looked at the room and took her food away instead. It reads less like a place with a queue than a place that simply fills. Whether there is anywhere to wait, or any way to book a table, no post says.
• We have kept "I'll be back" and "I came back" apart. Promises are much the commoner of the two: one writer says she will have to return, another that she wants to work through the whole menu. Actual return visits are rarer. One of them says she tries something different each time and has not yet been disappointed; another had the regular burger before and came back for the big one. Close to half of what we read is a first visit written in the shop's first year, so the ratio is one that only time will settle.
