A Korean diner in the lane opposite the Jeodong ferry terminal on Ulleungdo, used for the meal that bookends a boat. More than ten writers came here straight off the dawn crossing, straight back from Dokdo, or while waiting for the ferry to Pohang. Squid-innards soup and the squid-and-pork-belly stir-fry hold up the menu, and a spread of Ulleungdo wild greens comes with everything — sixteen accounts stop to praise the greens on their own.

Parking

3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Accounts of parking split. Two writers found the lot across the road easy; two others sized it up, decided it was too tight because it is shared with the Ulleung squid market next door, and parked elsewhere — one at the Jeodong harbour lot, three minutes' walk, the other in the market's own lot, which they report as wide and free.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Whether you can get in with a wheelchair or a pushchair is unknown. Across all thirty posts the words wheelchair, pushchair, step, ramp and threshold never appear once. The address says ground floor and six writers call the room roomy, but nobody looked at the doorway.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Nobody writes about the toilets from having seen them. The word turns up in the thirty posts, but always about somewhere else — a swimming pool's shower block, a lookout on the far side of the island — and the one line about this restaurant's is lifted wholesale from a Naver listing, so we left it out. This is not a report on the toilets; it is a record that no one filed one.
• Several posts give opening hours, but most are header blocks copied from Naver. They disagree on the opening time — 06:00 in one, 06:30 in the rest — and one adds a low-season timetable of 07:00 to 19:00 from November to March. One writer turned up to find it already shut for the day and phoned ahead before trying again; two others advise calling first.
• No post declares a sponsorship, but twenty-five say nothing either way, so for most of them we simply do not know who paid; four state outright that they paid their own way. And nineteen of the twenty-nine are whole-trip travelogues in which this restaurant gets two or three lines — which is to say that for most of our sources there was never room to write about seating, queues or facilities at all.
• Nobody looked at what floor it is on. Twenty-seven of the twenty-nine posts carry the line 'Ulleung-sunhwan-ro 158, ground floor', but that is the address Naver's check-in card prints by itself, not something a writer saw. Not one line has anyone climbing a step or finding an upstairs — the words stairs and lift do appear, but about a seabed observatory and a museum elsewhere on the island. This is not a report that it is at street level; it is a record that no one filed one.
