Dangeumi Sikdang
단금이식당 Sikdang simply means 'eatery'; the posts give no meaning for Dangeumi — one blogger wondered if it was the owner's name and found it was not.

A flat-price Korean home-style buffet in the buffet alley of Gyeongju's Seongdong Market, near the passage from the public car park. You sit, pick a soup, and staff bring rice and soup; you serve yourself from 20 to 30 side dishes. Soups are usually beef-radish, dried radish greens, or seaweed. Fifteen visit posts give 9,000 won per person; one says 8,000. We read 30 posts from July 2025 to October 2026; 18 record an actual meal. Eleven were write-ups or TV-recap posts we did not count, and one was about a neighboring stall.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Eight of 18 visit posts call the staff kind, with specifics: rice packed down firmly into the bowl, a parent with a baby thanking them over and over, the only stall still serving after 7 pm. Two posts mention being called in from the aisle by the owner.
- Three posts mention a free drink: scorched-rice tea on sitting down, a sweet rice drink before the meal, and old-style instant coffee on the way out.
- One post, visiting with a nine-month-old, was surprised to find a baby chair inside a market stall. Two posts came with children; the same one said the air conditioning was strong enough that the baby needed a cardigan.
- Seasoning splits one to three: one post found it salty, three said it was not too strong — including one who usually finds Gyeongsang food too salty.
1 more
- Two posts saw the origin labels posted; one noted almost everything except the tofu was domestic.

Seven visit posts drove and parked — in the Seongdong Market public car park, not a lot of the restaurant's own. Four say they were asked at the till whether they had parked and handed a 30-minute free parking ticket. One had trouble finding a space on level 2.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station

Getting inside
No visit post says what floor the stall is on; one only mentions taking the car-park lift down into the market.
We don't know about steps or wheelchair and stroller access; even the post with a baby doesn't say. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is a problem.
We don't know about toilets. One post's info box says outdoor and separate by sex, and another mentions the car-park toilet as a landmark; we didn't count either.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-06-15 | 4 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one visit post arrived by bus, from Singyeongju Station. Walking times from Gyeongju Station appear only in TV-recap posts.
- No visit post reports waiting, though some found it full at lunch. Two posts say the alley winds down early — packing up after 5 pm, almost all closed after 7.
- Four visit posts came with family, one with a friend; nine drove. None of the visit posts say they went alone.
- Opening hours vary between posts. Four give hours, all copied info boxes: opening at 7:00 (two) or 8:00 (one), closing at 19:00 (one) or 20:00 (two). Two agree it closes the first and third Sunday of each month; one says it never closes.
- Fifteen visit posts give 9,000 won; one from September 2026 says 8,000. The claim it rose from 6,000 through 7,000 and 8,000, and a 4,000-won child price, appear only in write-ups.
- Several posts list the phone number 054-773-3018, but none says whether phone booking works.
- Seven TV-recap posts appeared within ten days of the June 15, 2026 MBC broadcast, repeating the same facts in the same order. None records a meal, so we counted none of them.
