완도회식당 Wando is an island county off the southern tip of South Jeolla, and hoesikdang means a raw-fish eatery; none of the posts say why a Sokcho shop carries the name.

A mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup) and raw-fish rice bowl shop in the Gyo-dong food alley of Sokcho, open from 9 a.m. until about 12:30. You pick live squid, flounder or half-and-half, then soup or rice bowl, then noodles or rice. A September 2026 post lists squid mulhoe at 20,000 won (large 25,000), flounder at 17,000 and half-and-half at 23,000. We read 30 posts from 14 July to 27 October 2026: 16 by people who ate here, 6 that only list the shop, and 8 that are really about other restaurants. What sets it apart
- Waiting is the main event. Eleven posts waited; two did not. The waitlist opens at 6 a.m. on a kiosk inside the shop. One diner arrived at 6:00, got number 6 and was seated at 9:00; another registered at 6:10 on a weekend as 18th and got in around 9:30; one took number 36 at 9:10 and entered at 10:13; another took 35 at 9:30 and entered around 10:25. One group registered at 10:50 behind 24 parties, and the list closed a party or two later. You're called by KakaoTalk, and one post says the slot is cancelled if you don't come in within a minute. The two who walked straight in came on a weekday around 10 a.m. and on an October weekday around 11:20.
- There is a separate waiting room. Nine posts describe it in the building across the lane; four mention a toilet there. A board shows expected entry times by number — the 30s were posted as 10:00–10:20 — and two posts say it proved roughly accurate.
- Food comes fast. Five posts say so — one timed it at five minutes, another called it fast-food speed. One diner finished in 15 to 20 minutes and felt rushed out by the queue outside, which felt anticlimactic after a 6 a.m. start.
- Five posts say you order and pay up front on a tablet or kiosk at the table; one adds that takeout orders use a separate kiosk by the counter.

Getting inside
No post says what floor the shop is on or whether there are steps.
No post mentions a step at the door or wheelchair or stroller access. One family brought a baby, but let it nap in the car.
No post mentions a toilet inside the restaurant itself; the four that mention one are all describing the waiting room across the lane.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Live squid depends on the day's catch. In October one diner got mitre squid because there was no squid, and another couldn't order the large squid bowl after a poor catch.
- Prices have gone up at least once: a July 2026 post says they had risen by its second visit, without giving the old figures. The same post noticed abalone-innards porridge as a new item. A meal now runs 17,000 to 25,000 won per bowl.
- Every post agrees on a 9 a.m. opening. Six give 12:30 as closing time and one gives 13:00 with last orders at 12:30. Several pass on a notice that it closes early when the queue is long. No one mentions a regular day off; we don't know if there is one.
- It appears not to take reservations: one post says no online booking, and every other post describes the on-site waitlist. Several posts give the same phone number, 033-631-1418, but none says whether you can book by phone.
- No post describes getting there by bus or on foot. One chose it for being near their lodging; the rest drove or didn't say.
