Sibiseonnyeotang Swimteo Sikdang
십이선녀탕쉼터식당 Sibi-seonnyeo-tang means 'the Twelve Fairies' Pools', the Seoraksan valley whose trailhead the restaurant sits at (legend says fairies came down to bathe there); swimteo sikdang means 'rest-stop eatery'.

An open-air restaurant at the Twelve Fairies' Pools trailhead in Namgyo-ri, Buk-myeon, Inje, on the Seoraksan side. There is no indoor dining: you sit on platforms, under trees, or at tables set over a channel of diverted stream water with your feet in it. The thing most people come for is native-chicken baeksuk with neungi mushrooms and herbs (80,000 won), with potato pancake (17,000 won), seafood pancake (20,000 won), acorn jelly salad or wild-greens bibimbap on the side. You order and pay at the counter first; one post found it a nuisance to go back and pay for every extra order. We read 12 posts from 16 June 2025 to 14 October 2026; all 12 are first-hand visits, nearly all in summer.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- All 12 posts describe outdoor seating, and one states plainly there is no indoor room. One post noted the foot-dipping tables sit over diverted stream water rather than the natural creek, with water reaching the ankles or calves. Three said their feet got painfully cold if left in, and one recommends bringing a towel. The real stream runs just below, and some went down to it after eating.
- Six posts booked by phone. Two noted that the chicken takes a while, so ordering it ahead saves waiting. One family arrived on a peak-season weekday and could not eat because every table was reserved. A claim that the foot-dipping tables are reservation-only appears only in a copied info block, so we do not count it.
- Three posts walked straight in: one had the place to themselves at 1 p.m. in mid-June, one were the only customers, one arrived three hours before their booking and found plenty of room. One post went both ways — seated at once as a pair, turned away with family. Several expect crowds in peak season, but nobody recorded an actual wait time.
- Five posts call the portions large. One recommends the chicken for three or four; another pair took leftovers home. The potato pancake also comes big enough to share. Two posts counted around twelve side dishes, and one noted side-dish refills are self-service.
2 more
- Opinions on price split two to one: two posts found it expensive, one reasonable for a holiday spot. One family in August 2025 paid 111,000 won for the chicken, a seafood pancake, makgeolli, a soft drink and soju. Payment is up front; one post paid in cash.
- Four posts were repeat visits — a year apart, a week apart, or a second trip after the previous autumn. Three posts call the owners kind; one describes being warned that the potato pancake goes soggy if taken away.

Four posts say the car park is large. But one visit at 11:30 on Saturday 26 July 2025 found it packed with buses and cars and hard to find a space; hikers' coaches share it because it is the trailhead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 12 posts read) |
|---|
It is an outdoor restaurant and no post mentions floors or stairs — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.
No post mentions steps, ramps, wheelchairs or strollers. Two describe taking off shoes to sit at the water tables, so whether there is wheelchair-friendly seating is unknown.
Only one post describes the toilet: an outdoor one beside the campsite sink, cleaner than expected. Another post lists 'outside / separate men's and women's' in a copied info block, which we do not count; nobody reported first-hand on separate or accessible toilets.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- We do not know whether the foot-dipping channel runs year-round. A June 2025 visitor noted it was not there the previous autumn, while another had dipped their feet a summer earlier — it seems to be a summer feature. One post said it had no idea how the place runs in winter.
- Only one post involved public transport — a hiker who arrived by taxi and ate while waiting for a bus. Nobody gave stop locations or frequency; everyone else appears to have driven.
- Ten posts give opening hours, all from copied info blocks: nine say 10:00–20:30 with last order at 19:00, one from July 2025 says 10:30. No post gives a closing day; six say open daily. Being a mountain-valley spot, hours may vary by season — call 0507-1363-7135 (given in five posts) to check and book.
- One of the 12 posts (June 2025) discloses affiliate commission on unrelated product links; it does not say the restaurant sponsored it, but we mark it as disclosed. Two posts say they paid their own way; the other nine say nothing either way.
