O'clock is a cocktail and whisky bar down a residential lane in Dangye-dong, Wonju — a block in from the main strip, behind the intercity bus terminal and the rose park. Three posts say it has been in the same spot since 2014. Eight in the evening until two in the morning, though two posts say it stays open as long as anyone is still drinking. It does not sell ordinary soju or mass-market lager; what it has is whisky, cocktails, imported bottles and draught Kloud. There is a printed list, but most people set it aside, described what they like, and were handed something made for them on the spot. The posts we read run from January 2025 to September 2026.

  **This is how you order here.** They ask whether you want it sweet or sharp, what you like the smell of, how strong you can take it, then line up bottles for you to sniff before deciding. Several posts came away with a drink that is not on the list; two say the same-named cocktail is mixed differently for each drinker

Parking

1 posts say you can park; 11 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

There is no car park. Most posts tell you to find a gap in the lane or use a public lot nearby; one says that since you are going out to drink you may as well take the bus, and one that it is walkable from the terminal. A single post stands against the rest, calling kerbside parking in the lane easy. Not one of them, including that one, says where they themselves parked — the only post that mentions arriving by car is by someone who then did not drink.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Not one post mentions a threshold, a ramp or a wheelchair. Four say the toilet is inside, and none of them says more than that it is a relief; nobody says whether it is split by sex. We do not know whether you can get in here without a step — not that there isn't one, but that none of the thirty writers looked. One post says the toilet was clean.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Three posts declare a sponsorship: one tags it, one says outright that it was a review-crew visit, one explains in its opening line that an agency came asking. Two say they paid for everything. The other twenty-five say nothing either way — which does not mean they were unpaid, only that we cannot tell. There was no cluster of near-identical posts on one day and no hashtag block repeated word for word, and all thirty say what they drank.
• Nor does anyone mention a floor or a flight of stairs. The licence lists it as ground floor and the posts read as though you walk in from the lane, but nobody says how many steps there are, or whether the door has a lip. Three posts say they nearly walked past: the lane is dark and only the one sign is lit.
• Not one post mentions queueing. Two arrived at half past eight to find the bar nearly full and one found it full on a weeknight by the time they left, but nobody says they waited, and nobody says they didn't have to. One post booked ahead; the “reservations and groups welcome” line in several others is copied straight from the Naver listing, so we did not count it as anything anyone saw.
• Prices are thin. Two posts give the price of a cocktail and four the price of food; the other twenty-four never say what they paid. One warns that a drink built to your taste can come out above the printed price, and that their cocktails alone came to over ₩100,000. So the range below is not what an evening costs — it is only what anyone wrote down.
• Two of the thirty are diaries covering many places at once — one a whole month, with beaches and a festival and dozens of restaurants in it; the other a week, with seven check-in widgets. Both writers did go to O'clock, but we read only the passages around it and judged nothing outside them; in the second, O'clock gets a single line, so we counted nothing at all. The remaining twenty-eight all carry this shop's name and street number in the check-in, and nothing from another bar of the same name got in.
