Bongpyeong Memil Migayeon
봉평메밀미가연 Bongpyeong is the buckwheat town in Pyeongchang where the shop stands and memil means buckwheat; none of the posts explains Migayeon, so we leave that part untranslated.

A buckwheat noodle house at 108 Gipung-ro, Bongpyeong, Pyeongchang. The draw is migamyeon (12,000 won): pure buckwheat noodles dressed in perilla oil and soy with an icy broth on the side — 28 of the 29 visits ordered it. Bibim noodles (12,000), raw-beef bibim noodles (17,000), buckwheat pancakes or rolled crepes (9,000) and boiled pork with sprouts (30,000) round out most tables, and many posts tell you to add the kelp vinegar on the table. We read 30 posts from May to October 2026; 29 describe an actual visit (July to October 2026). The 'master chef' title and the Edward Lee visit are the shop's own billing, which we repeat but do not count.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait at weekend and holiday lunch. Nine posts waited and seven did not. The seven that gave a time waited 15, 15-20, 20, 25, 30, 30 and 30 minutes, with 11 to 20 parties ahead — Saturday noon and 1 pm, a holiday-weekend 12:30, a holiday 2:30 pm. Those who walked straight in came at opening, around 11, a weekday 11 am, a weekday lunch, just before noon, 1 pm, and a Thursday at 3. You register on a machine on site and get a KakaoTalk alert; one post says remote booking through CatchTable or Tabling is not possible, another says the shop uses Tabling.
- There is somewhere to sit while you wait: nine posts mention benches or a waiting area in front of and beside the shop, and several remark on fast turnover.
- Fifteen posts mention separate rooms — about four rooms plus ten hall tables in one account, three private rooms in another — though one says the rooms are shared rather than given to a single party. Fifteen call the place spacious; one says it is not large.
- Nine posts came with children, and seven noted high chairs. Three ordered a bowl of rice for the child and got beef seaweed soup and laver with it (one gives 1,000 won); in one, the staff warned up front that pure buckwheat noodles can taste too bitter for kids.
2 more
- Seven posts found the red-sauce noodles not hot; one called the sauce spicy. Another found the crepes fairly hot but the noodles only mildly so. One diner felt a little heartburn afterwards.
- Eight posts ordered and paid on a tabletop kiosk or tablet; four mention a serving robot bringing side dishes and pancakes first.

Parking
19 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 19 of 28 posts |

Nineteen posts parked in the shop's own lot beside or across from it. Ten call it roomy; one found few spaces and many cars on the roadside when leaving, and another found it full by 10:30 on a weekend. One tip: the right turn just before the shop leads into a private house — turn right after passing it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 28 posts |
|---|
No one says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs — only that it is a large hanok-style building.
No one describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. One post pasted a listing that says 'wheelchair accessible', but that is the shop's own entry and we do not count it. Two posts mention a non-slip floor.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in two pasted listings, and no one mentions an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts found portions small (the pork in one, everything in the other). An extra noodle portion is 5,000 won and two posts say it is nearly a full serving.
- No one arrived by bus or train; seven posts drove, and many say it is about ten minutes by car from Phoenix Park. That does not mean public transport is impossible — just that nobody wrote about it.
- Reservations are unclear: one post says walk-in queue only, two pasted listings say phone or group bookings are possible, and one says the Naver 'reservation' is really a free buckwheat-tea promotion, not a table. Eleven posts give the phone number 0507-1405-8805; two give 033-335-8805.
- Nineteen posts give the same hours, 10:00 to 17:00, closed Wednesdays — mostly copied from the listing. Two say it closes early when ingredients run out; no one mentions a break time or last order.
- Prices are identical in every post from July to October 2026 (migamyeon 12,000, raw-beef bibim noodles 17,000); we have nothing earlier. Two noodle bowls and a pancake come to about 33,000 won.
- Three posts disclose sponsorship (the same hashtag campaign, all three including the rice-and-seaweed-soup passage), and two more read almost word for word alike. 'Master chef', 'three patents' and 'noodles made daily' recur in near-identical wording across posts — that is the shop's own copy, which we repeat but do not count. Three posts say they paid their own way.
