A butcher-counter beef restaurant on the road out of Gunwi town, in what is now the rural edge of Daegu. You choose packs from the chilled case at the door, pay first, say whether you want charcoal or a stone plate, and are shown to a table; a per-head table charge on top of the meat brings the leaves, greens and pickles. There is separate seating for people who came only for the bulgogi hotpot or the yukhoe rice bowl, and a counter by the exit selling gomtang, stewing beef and marrow bones. An Ediya coffee shop shares the building — eight of the posts end there.

  You pick a pack from the chilled case by the door, pay, and carry it to your table — choosing charcoal or stone plate at the till, with the charcoal room further in. The cuts that turn up in the posts run to a dozen: chuck flap, tenderloin, brisket, top blade, short rib, plate, skirt, ribeye, striploin, flank, chuck tail flap, and mixed platters. One writer rates the skirt highest for beefiness, another picks the top blade; two say the counter will cut to order if what you want is not on display

  One post gives per-100g rates — ₩13,500 for chuck flap, ₩14,800 for tenderloin, both grade 1++.   The cold-noodle course after the meat, and opinion divides evenly: three writers call it clean and springy, three find it thin — "water plus noodles," a broth that leaves no impression, closer to a Pyongyang-style naengmyeon than the sweet-sharp kind a grill house usually pours. One says to fix it yourself with mustard and vinegar

  All seven posts give ₩4,000 a head, unchanged from October 2024 to September 2026. One writer thinks the meat cheap enough to justify it; another reckons the loyalty points would cover it after a few visits

  Raw beef, cut fine and dressed. One writer finds the seasoning light enough for children, another says the sweetness of the pear made the freshness stand out, and one is emphatic that it is nothing like the yukhoe they get in Daegu. It comes in two sizes; one post records ordering the larger

  Only one post mentions a price, and only as "thirty-something thousand a tray." The raw sliced beef (mungtigi) is sold alongside; one family chose the yukhoe over it for the children

  The main thing for people who came not to grill. Glass noodles, enoki, shredded spring onion and cabbage go in, with leaves to wrap it. One writer looks closely at the pot itself: holes in the base and a domed middle, so the broth simmers at the rim while the meat cooks on the heat in the centre. Three call it sweet and unaggressive, and two note how many lunchtime tables were eating it

  Two posts give ₩10,000 a portion — twenty for two, and the same arithmetic for four. It travels, too: one writer records a three-portion tub to take home at ₩20,000

Parking

11 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

This is a place you drive to. All eleven writers who mention parking call the lot big, and not one reports a problem — though "big" is not "empty": one found it nearly full at Christmas lunch, another says it fills every weekend evening. Nobody, even so, writes about failing to find a space, and one parked around by the annexe.

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.

Getting inside

Whether you can get in with a wheelchair or a pushchair is unknown. Across the twenty-one posts the words wheelchair, pushchair, step, ramp and threshold never appear once. It is a stand-alone building, ten writers call the inside roomy, and two note high chairs for babies — but nobody looked at the doorway.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Nobody writes about the toilets from having used them. The phrase "separate men's and women's" does appear — but only in the Naver facility blurbs pasted at the top and bottom of two posts, and in a listicle written by someone who never went. We counted none of the three. This is not a report on the toilets; it is a record that no one filed one.
• Nobody says what floor it is on, or whether there are stairs. Across the twenty-one posts the words second floor, basement, stairs and lift never appear once. There is talk of where you sit — one describes a stand-alone building with a big entrance and car park, three mention private rooms and a newly built annexe besides the main hall, one says the charcoal tables are right at the back — but not one writer describes going up or down anything. Whether it is all on one level, we do not know.
• Two posts say kimchi does not come as standard. One asked for some and was told it comes only with a soup order; the other ordered the doenjang stew and found the kimchi that used to arrive with it missing. Both are from 2025 and nothing later repeats the complaint, so we cannot tell whether it is the rule or was simply that day.
• The twelve posts that give hours disagree. Five put closing at 20:30 and seven at 21:00, three of the seven splitting Sunday out at 20:30. Eleven open at 10:00 and one at 11:00. Eleven agree on the rest day, Mondays, and four of those add that it shifts to Tuesday when the Monday is a public holiday. Most of these lines are header blocks copied from Naver, and nobody writes about arriving to find the door open or shut.
• Fifteen of the twenty-one say nothing about who paid. Four state outright that they paid their own way, and two were treated — a dinner by a friend, a lunch by an aunt. No post declares a sponsorship. Nine of the thirty we collected never made it this far: two turned out to be about the Ediya next door and the livestock co-op market across town, five were directory listings of ten to twenty-four Gunwi restaurants in an identical template, one was a festival notice, and one bought meat at the counter without eating here.
