What sets it apart
- Three writers flag the stairs to the first floor. One found the high concrete steps unnerving on the way down with an empty glass, and sat downstairs on her next visit; another worried about a child falling; a third says the climb is not one to make with a toddler. And seven posts place the toilets upstairs only — so even a table on the ground floor means taking those stairs eventually. Several writers say the upper floor is the quieter one, and the group room is up there too.
- The outdoor tables are under the protected tree. Four writers mention the shade it throws; several describe tables scattered through the front garden. There is a dedicated car park in front. Two writers count it: seven or eight cars, and eight. One says the lane takes the overflow easily; one says it is free. Coming without a car is hard — one writer says walking was never really an option and she got there because she had one, and another warns that the last stretch is a narrow country lane to be taken slowly. Four arrived on a drive out from Daejeon.

Not one post mentions a step at the door, a ramp, a wheelchair or a pushchair. We cannot tell you that you can get in, and we cannot tell you that you cannot — nobody looked. What is certain is that the building has two floors joined only by stairs, with the toilets on the upper one; no post mentions a lift. What we do not know
- We read thirty posts and counted twenty-eight. One is a month of diary entries with ten different check-ins, where this cafe gets a single line and no record of anything eaten — there was no way to keep it apart from the nine other places. The other is written entirely in brochure language, with no date, no company and no prices, and its account of the coffee contradicts the writers who actually looked: those who read the sign say a single Italian roaster and no acidity, while this post offers a choice of acidic specialty beans. It also names a pastry no other post mentions. We could not treat it as a visit, so it is out of the denominator.
- The closing day moved three times in two years. Posts from late 2024 and spring 2025 say Mondays, opening at eleven; ten posts from November 2025 to May 2026 agree on Tuesdays, opening at ten; two posts from August and September 2026 say the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Only the six o'clock close holds throughout. The two most recent posts are the Wednesday ones, and they are only two — worth checking before you drive out. One February 2026 post stands alone on Mondays and eleven o'clock; it quotes its own older article, so it looks like carried-over information, but we could not confirm that. One post says there is no afternoon break; the others simply do not say.
- Not one post declares a sponsorship. Six say they paid their own way, one says a friend paid, and the remaining twenty-one say nothing about who settled the bill. But five writers noticed the receipt-review promotion — write one, get a free americano — so among the silent posts there may be some that got the cup back. One notes you can pay with the Gyeryong local gift certificate.
- No one describes queuing, but people do describe full tables. One writer ordered, went upstairs and found every seat taken, and came back down to the ground floor; another, writing in autumn, says it is not quite a wait but there is some competition for the window seats. One found it busy on a weekday; one arrived outside lunchtime and still found the car park full. No post mentions booking — including whether the group room needs it.
