유미초밥 청주동남점 Conveyor-belt sushi in Cheongju's Dongnam district where every plate on the belt costs 2,100 won
Compiled from 30 blog posts read in fullSources →
Yumi Chobap's Cheongju Dongnam branch is a conveyor-belt sushi counter on the main road through the Dongnam district, in the unit an Olive Young used to occupy. It opened on 28 June 2026. Every plate on the belt costs ₩2,100 — tuna belly, flounder fin and dessert alike. Only the noodle dishes break that: udon, cold soba and cold udon at ₩6,900, and Kirin Ichiban draught at ₩7,900. A long counter runs down the middle with three or four four-person tables to the right. It opens at 11:30 and closes at 21:30 every day, and closes between 15:00 and 17:00 on weekdays only — weekends and holidays run straight through. Last orders at 21:00. The posts we read cover everything from opening day to 27 September 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours
What sets it apart
- This is a place you queue for. Eighteen of thirty posts write about the line. Those who timed their own wait report ten, fifteen and twenty minutes; those who counted the parties ahead of them say two, two, twelve and thirteen. But not everyone waited — four people who arrived at 11:30 opening sat down straight away, as did one who came at half past noon on a Saturday. Four others note that a queue had formed by the time they left. And the people who did wait agree on one thing: the tables turn fast. "Twelve parties ahead of us — but they move so quickly that the number ahead is not the thing to judge by."
- The posts contradict each other about how you join the queue. All agree there is a Tabling kiosk at the door; they do not agree on whether you can take a ticket from your phone. On opening day the app was not running yet but "coming soon". Then two posts from the same day, 9 September, say opposite things: one says remote queueing through the Tabling app works, the other says the kiosk is walk-up only and the app will not take you. Five posts say remote works, one says it does not. We cannot tell which is true now — open the app before you set off. Seven writers saw the indoor waiting seats; one adds that they are not large, and would feel cramped at a rush.
- If it is not on the belt, ask and they make it. Eight posts say so; five of them ordered something that way — grilled cuttlefish, sauced shrimp, the buldak cheese prawn. One writer counted forty-five kinds on the menu board and says the belt carries far more than that; three others name things they met on the belt that were not on the board at all. Anything grilled or cheese-topped should be asked for hot — staff will torch it at the counter, and one writer ate two cold plates before anyone told her. As another puts it, most conveyor places will not do this, and where they will, the staff are too busy to ask.
- Small rice, thick fish — that is this counter's character. Three writers say it, and all three mean it as praise: a smaller base lets the cut of fish register, and lets you work through more kinds before you fill up. One puts it as a ratio — less rice against the topping, so each plate satisfies more. Two say the seasoning is restrained, and both reach the same observation: your mouth is not salty afterwards. One of them compares it directly with the conveyor place Cheongju has long been known for, and says this is the difference.

Parking
4 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Four people actually parked. Many more posts say "parking available", but open them and it is a copied block from the shop's map listing — parking, takeaway, waiting area, high chairs, all in one line. What the four who drove there report: the entrance to the underground garage is at the back of the building, the till validates your ticket, and two hours are free once registered. One found it roomier than expected and easy even for a nervous driver. One writer does the opposite — she parks by a nearby park or at the Lotte Mart five minutes' walk away, which is free. She does not say why she skips the building's own garage.

Getting inside
| Second floor | yes 0 · no 2 (of 30 posts read) |
|---|
The licence says one floor and everyone else says another. The registered address reads "137 Junggogae-ro, 2F, units 205–206", but all thirty posts and the Naver map entry put it on the first floor of the Dongnam Building. Two writers say so from their own eyes: it faces the main road at street level and can be seen from a distance, with a banner outside. Twelve more place it in the old Olive Young unit, which is also at street level. Not one post mentions stairs or a lift. We have written it as ground floor, the way the posts do.
Nobody writes about getting in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. Across all thirty posts the words for wheelchair, pushchair, ramp and threshold never appear once. The place is at street level on a main road and easy to spot, but no one looked at whether there is a step at the door. That is not an absence of a step; it is an absence of anyone who checked. Three writers came with children, and none of them mentions a pushchair.
Not one post mentions the toilets. Whether they are inside the restaurant or out in the building's corridor, whether they are separated by sex — across thirty posts the word does not appear. This in a place where people sit at the counter for an hour or two, and where a good many come with children.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- ₩2,100 is the price of one plate, not of a meal. The plate counts people report are seven, nine, thirteen, twenty and twenty-three; one party of three managed thirty-five. Only two posts say what they actually paid — under ₩40,000 for two who ate their fill, and ₩90,000 for a family of four. The price has not moved: twenty-eight posts give ₩2,100, from late June to late September, and the same holds for the ₩6,900 noodles and the ₩7,900 beer. Nobody gives a price for the takeaway sets.
- One person wrote down how to get here without a car. That post puts the bus stop at the Daewon Kantavill Terrace apartments about a minute's walk away. The other twenty-nine posts mention no bus and no train. Nobody writes about actually arriving by bus — even that one line is written as directions for the reader. Everyone else locates the place by road and building: the main crossroads of the Dongnam district, the old Olive Young unit, across from the Daewon Kantavill Terrace estate.
- Nobody has actually seen a high chair. Four posts list one, but all four are copying the same block of amenities off the map listing, and none of those four brought a child. Three other posts did come with children — with an eldest child, with one on school holiday, with one on a day out — and not one mentions a chair. A mother weighing up bringing a baby still on purées only says the room looked comfortable enough to sit in together. What several do say is that there is plenty a child will eat: the egg sushi, the beef sushi, the karaage, and the desserts.
- Not one post declares a sponsorship. Five say outright that they paid their own way; the other twenty-five say nothing about money either way. Two did get a plate free for writing a Naver receipt review — a fried set of crab, prawn and octopus in one case, a mixed platter in the other — and a third saw the offer and passed it on to her readers. These are still posts by people who ate here, but two of the three photographed a plate they did not pay for. Read it alongside this: all thirty posts were written within three months of opening, which is a restaurant at its most attentive.
- One writer found it hot. A rainy Friday evening, 18 July: three ceiling units and a circulator were running, but with a full room and the rain she found it warm and close — short of comfortable, though it did not spoil the meal. That is the only post that mentions the air conditioning at all. The other twenty-nine say neither hot nor cool. What fifteen of them do say is that the place is spotless because it is new — which is worth holding in mind: they are all describing a restaurant three months old.
