Bujahoegwan Busan Sicheong-jeom

부자회관 부산시청점 Buja means a rich man and hoegwan a hall or banquet house — roughly 'the rich man's hall'; Busan Sicheong-jeom is the Busan City Hall branch.

Compiled from 30 blog posts read in fullSources →

A two-storey barbecue house on Sinchon-ro 23beon-gil behind Busan City Hall in Yeonje-gu. Every table is in a room with a door, and staff finish kitchen-seared beef short rib at your table from start to end. The most-ordered item is set C — two portions of fresh short rib and two of fresh thin-sliced pork for 92,000 won — eaten in 19 posts. We read 30 posts dated 13 December 2024 to 9 October 2026; 29 of them are from 29 July 2026 or later. All 30 describe a visit; 2 disclose sponsorship, 3 say they paid themselves, and 25 say nothing either way.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All 30 posts say the staff grilled for them, and 17 say the short rib arrives already seared in the kitchen. Many posts describe the same tasting order, one piece at a time: toasted-rice salt, toast with ranch dressing and pineapple, basil pesto, then frozen spicy radish. Several note that even the thin pork slices are grilled for you. Two posts say the pre-searing makes the meat slow to arrive, especially when the house is fully booked.
  2. Twenty-eight posts ate in a private room — one stresses these are proper rooms with doors, not partitions. Posts mention rooms for 2 to 10 and group rooms for 8 to 24. Many describe a fridge in each room: you take your own drinks and they are counted at checkout. Several mention a wardrobe and disposable aprons, and booked rooms carry your name on the door.
  3. Twenty-four posts say a glass of apple-and-beet juice is poured when you sit down — non-alcoholic, one notes. Six say the table water is a herbal tea rather than plain water.
  4. Many posts copy the time-based discounts: 10% off plus free stone-pot rice and stew for visits between 11:00 and 15:00, 5% between 16:00 and 16:30, and 10% after 20:00. Six posts say they actually got the lunch deal; one took 9,200 won off set C. One dinner visitor notes they got no discount.
2 more
  1. Of the posts that say who came along, 10 went with a partner or spouse and 7 with family, often for a birthday, anniversary or Parents' Day. One went with a friend, and two were larger groups — a savings club and a seven-person family dinner. Eight posts are by repeat visitors.
  2. Eight posts say it is easy to reach by subway; several put it 3 to 5 minutes' walk from exit 7 of City Hall station on Line 1.

Posts saying you can park21 of 30 posts

Twenty-one posts describe parking firsthand: the Cheonpyeong lot right in front gives two free hours, and six posts say they drove. Two posts give 3,000 won per extra hour, one a cap of 20,000 won. One says you give your plate number when you pay; another notes the lot is open-air and large. One post copied a note that lunch-special-only orders get one hour.

Getting inside

Second floor11 of 30 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 30 posts read)
Toilet inside1 of 30 posts
Separate restrooms2 of 30 posts

Eleven posts mention a second floor, and several sat up there; two say you take the stairs. One post sat in a ground-floor room, and none mentions a basement.

No post says from experience whether there is a step at the entrance or whether they came in with a wheelchair or stroller; 'wheelchair accessible' appears only in a copied info block. Two posts say the second floor is up a flight of stairs, and nobody mentions a lift — which means nobody wrote about one, not that there isn't one.

Few posts mention the toilets: two say they are on the ground floor and separate for men and women, one that they are inside, past the kitchen, and two that they are clean and stocked with mouthwash. None mentions an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Most posts from late July to October 2026 follow the same template — set C, the same sauce sequence, two-hour parking, time discounts and in-room fridges in the same order. Only two disclose sponsorship, but treat the batch as possibly commissioned. Lines such as 'only the finest beef' are the restaurant's own copy and we did not count them.
  • The complimentary broth changed. Seven posts, from a May 2026 visit to a post on 23 August, describe a clam soup with crab and cabbage; from 22 August, 12 of the 18 posts that name the broth call it pufferfish soup, and two regulars say outright it had switched from clam. Even after the change, two posts call it pollack soup, one frozen pollack and one cod.
  • The fresh thin-sliced pork and set C are new. The December 2024 post had set A, and two regulars in August and September 2026 ordered C because it was new. When exactly it appeared, we don't know.
  • Twenty posts booked ahead, so only four mention waiting. Two walk-ins waited about 3 minutes and, on Parents' Day, over 40 minutes. Two weekday visits, at 9 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., walked straight in. Three posts mention seats at the entrance for waiting. One found every room full on a Monday, and another says 6-7 p.m. bookings fill early.
  • Four posts call it clean, but one tells a different story: a seven-person family dinner in September 2026 had a leaking air conditioner switched off, a musty smell and two ants on the table. A Parents' Day visit in May had water dripping from the ceiling onto a diner's back until staff taped tissue over it.
  • One post says in its own words that rooms are yours for two hours from the booking time; two others repeat the same restaurant-supplied sentence, which we did not count.
  • Corkage is unclear: three copied info blocks say it is charged, while two posts read 'first bottle free' on the menu. We can't tell which is current.
  • Twenty-three posts give the same opening hours, 11:00-23:00 daily, though almost all are copied info blocks. Last order is 21:50 in 15 posts and 22:00 in one. Three say it never closes; no post mentions a mid-afternoon break.
  • Prices are from menus in August-October 2026 posts: sets A and C 92,000 won, B 86,000, VIP 161,000; fresh short rib 36,000 won for 250 g; pork belly or neck 14,000 won for 120 g. Two people having set C plus one rice or noodle dish spend around 100,000 won. One post calls the prices fair overall, another finds the pork a bit steep. The December 2024 post lists no prices, so we can't tell whether they have risen.
  • Ten posts give the phone number as 0507-1488-7104; one May visit lists 051-851-7102 'at the time'. Most booked through Naver, and one says they have also booked by phone.
