Geodae Gomtang Haeundae is a beef-bone soup house in the Hyundai Venecity arcade at 163 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Busan. The signature 'thicker, richer gomtang' is 24,000 won and the milky beef gomtang 20,000 won; you order from a QR code at the table. Two posts walked in at the 7 a.m. opening, and many people come for breakfast. Until around autumn 2026 it sat in unit 103 of the same building; it has since expanded into units 101–102 next door. We read 31 posts dated 16 September to 23 October 2026, 21 of them first-hand visits. We set aside 7 posts that were really about other branches (Centum City, Seomyeon) or other shops in the building.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect long waits on weekends and holidays. Twelve posts say they waited. One got number 349 at noon on a Saturday and was seated at 2:20; another found 90 parties ahead at 9:30 on a Sunday; a third queued remotely from home on the first day of Chuseok and was in after 44 minutes. The two posts that arrived around the 7 a.m. opening did not wait at all. The queue runs through the CatchTable app, and one post notes you must confirm arrival once you are within the last ten places.
- Three posts mention seated waiting: a long bench follows the curved wall outside, with more chairs inside. A repeat visitor wrote that at the old shop most people had to stand.
- Four posts ordered via the table QR code. One notes takeaway orders must be placed with staff rather than by QR; another says extra orders go through a call button and you pay at the counter on the way out.
- Six posts describe the seating: a long bar along the windows suited to solo diners, plus two- and four-person tables and a private room. Three mention partitions between tables that keep it calm when full.
2 more
- Three posts mention high chairs and three ate with children — a 31-month-old who loved the soup, and a child who happily ate the rice-cake gomtang.
- Seven posts call it expensive: 20,000–24,000 won a bowl, 8,000 won for half a plate of dumplings. Most of those seven still concluded it was worth the price.

Five posts parked, four of them saying it was the building's underground car park. One got two free hours with a meal; another just gave staff the plate number and left free. The 'one hour weekdays, two hours weekends' rule appears only in copied info blocks, so we do not rely on it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
1 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post describes which floor the shop is on or whether there are stairs; '1st floor' appears only in addresses and copied info.
Nobody mentions a step at the door or wheelchair/stroller access — that means unknown, not absent.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Portions split three to three: three posts found it generous, three found the meat (or knee cartilage) thin for the price.
- Two posts found the signature soup cloying by the end; one said it was heavy rather than greasy.
- The shop moved from unit 103 into units 101–102 next door in the same building. No post gives the exact date; posts from September 2026 onward describe the new space, and some still copy the old 103 address. Nobody described the old layout, so all the seating and waiting details above refer to the new shop.
- Only one post arrived by public transport (train, then bus). Another gives walking directions from Dongbaek Station exit 1, but as copied guidance rather than experience.
- Six posts list opening hours as 07:00–21:00 daily with last orders at 20:30, all copied info. Closing days conflict: one says open every day, another says closed on Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok itself. Check before a holiday visit.
- Four posts give the phone number 051-731-0157. No post clearly booked a table in advance; one says 'CatchTable reservation', but others call the same thing a remote queue. One family phoned in a takeaway order, was told when to come, and did not wait.
