Yeongmi Hoetjip

영미횟집 Yeongmi is a Korean given name and hoetjip means a raw-fish restaurant; one writer wondered whether it is the owner's name, but no post says.

Compiled from 7 blog posts read in fullSources →

A raw-fish house occupying a whole three-storey building in a residential lane off Gwanganhaebyeon-ro in Namcheon-dong, Busan. You order one per-person course and the table fills in sequence: side plates and sushi, a bowl of dressed raw fish for each diner, righteye flounder sliced into long thin strips, sweet-potato fritters, live octopus, grilled croaker, seaweed soup and a spicy fish stew. Posts give the course at 40,000 or 50,000 won a head. We read 9 posts from November 2024 to August 2026; 2 were about other places and set aside, and all 7 that remain describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Five posts booked by phone or gave an arrival time and found the table already laid when they got there.
  2. The sweet-potato fritters get singled out: several posts ate them and three call them crisp; one writer wanted a second plate but held back for the fish.
  3. Four posts call the portions generous, though one warns that the bowls of rice are small.

Parking

2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park2 of 7 posts

Two posts write about parking from experience: one found plenty of space out front, another says the owner finds you a spot when it is full. Two more only repeat a copied 'free parking in front' line, which we did not count.

Getting inside

Second floor5 of 7 posts

Seating is upstairs in rooms. Five posts sat on the second floor or describe the upper floors, and four say those floors are divided into private rooms; one puts the tables at four to six seats.

Posts only mention the upstairs rooms; nobody says what is on the ground floor or whether stairs are the only way up.

Nobody mentions a step at the door, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. One post came with a five-year-old but says nothing about a stroller. This means unknown, not absent.

Nobody says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Prices are split: two posts (Nov 2024, Aug 2025) give the course at 40,000 won a head, three (May 2025, Sep 2025, Apr 2026) at 50,000. The split overlaps in time, so we cannot tell a price rise from a different tier. An Aug 2026 post lists a mixed-catch course at 40,000 and a grouper course at about 100,000. Two posts call it good value, one says it may feel pricey, and one notes there is no printed menu, so ask the staff.
  • Only one post covers public transport from experience: about a 10-minute walk from Namcheon Station exit 1. Another copies a 707 m distance. Nobody mentions buses.
  • No post mentions waiting. Five booked ahead, so we do not know what happens if you walk in.
  • Company varies: two posts went with family, one with a large alumni group, one with friends. The post with a five-year-old says staff brought extra laver for the child.
  • Five posts give the hours as 10:00-22:00 daily, but every one copies it from an info block; nobody mentions a break, last order or closing day.
  • Five posts give the same booking number, 051-628-1142, and several recommend calling ahead.
  • Four posts (Nov 2024, Aug and Sep 2025, Aug 2026) follow the same sequence: info block, upstairs private rooms, table laid on booking, dressed-fish bowl that turns into a rice bowl. One credits its photos to Naver. Two say they paid their own way; the rest say nothing about money. On the cut, five posts say long vertical slices and one says horizontal.
