Data as of · Published ·
Dolsoe Sutbul Galbi is a charcoal beef-rib house in the eating lane of Myeongji International City, in the Gangseo district of Busan. The sign is white on red, next door to a CU, and you walk in through a glass door straight off the street. The menu is essentially two dishes — beef short rib plain, or marinated — both bone-in, both grilled by you over real charcoal. It opened at the end of October 2025 and was promptly called Myeongji's new find; since September 2026 it also serves a beef-bone soup at lunch, having previously opened only in the evening. A poster on the wall says the owner would rather like a Michelin star, which four writers found funny enough to photograph. The posts we read run from November 2025 to September 2026.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Two people still have to order three portions. The first order must be three of the main cuts; after that you can add one at a time. Twelve writers mention it — after the price, it is the thing this shop's customers repeat most. You may mix the plain and the marinated to make up the three, and one writer confirms four mixed is fine too. Sides do not count toward the minimum. This is not a place to come alone for the beef — though the lunchtime soup is ordered by the bowl.
- The price is why this place is known. Ten writers call it cheap and none calls it dear. One works it out to ₩7,826 per 100g; another says it broke her belief that beef has to be expensive; a third sees no further need for the expensive rib houses. One notes that a portion costs little more than pork and tastes far better. The beef is American, though — two posts say so, and one copies the origin labelling off the board: American for the ribs and the flank, Korean for the raw beef. That is where the price comes from.
- You order from a screen at the table. Eight writers used the tablet or kiosk. Two note that with only a couple of dishes there is not much to decide, and one that the call button saves you shouting across the room. The side dishes are on it too: one writer kept refilling the spring-onion salad and pickled onion that way, and another found wasabi and sesame oil listed under the call button — not brought unasked, but yours if you ask.
- The origin of the meat is posted on the board. Two writers copied it down: the ribs, plain and marinated, and the flank are American; the raw beef is Korean. A third adds only "American, for what it's worth". Do not read this as a Korean-beef house — where Korean beef appears is in the stew and the lunchtime soup.

Parking
14 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

There is parking, but only a few spaces. Fourteen writers mention the shop's own spaces behind the building; the two who counted them say three and four. "Rarely a space free — lucky today." "Usually full, so you park on the shoulder." "If it's full you double-park." The alternatives named are the Neoul Park car park, the surrounding lanes and a public car park; one writer reports the shop putting ₩2,000 toward parking at the Burger King per table. The writers who came at lunch found parking easy — it is the evening that fills up.

Getting there

Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.
Getting inside
| Second floor | yes 0 · no 2 |

Nobody looked at the doorway. Two writers describe walking in through a glass door at street level, on the ground floor — but not one says whether there is a step up to it. If you are coming by wheelchair or with a pushchair, ring and ask. Inside sounds roomy: four writers call it spacious and two count somewhere between thirteen and twenty tables of four, so the gaps are probably not tight — but nobody measured an aisle either.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- In September 2026 both the opening time and the closing day changed — go by an older post and you will find the door shut. From November 2025 to August 2026, fifteen writers give 4:30pm as the opening and twelve say it closes on Sundays. Five September 2026 posts give 11am to 10:20pm with a break from 2 to 4:30, and five say it closes on Mondays. One post bridges the two: in August a writer was told a lunch menu was coming in September, and the September writers duly ate it. It seems the shop brought its opening forward for lunch and moved its rest day from Sunday to Monday. Two things we could not settle. First, whether it closes every Monday or only some: two posts, one of them from September 2026, say the second and fourth Monday of the month. Second, two posts published in September 2026 still carry the old evenings-only, closed-Sunday notice — and one of them contradicts itself in the same breath by saying lunch starts at eleven. Ring before you go. Last orders, by three accounts, are 9:30pm on weekdays and 10pm on Saturdays. There are three phone numbers, too. Ten posts give 0507-1425-3686 and two give 051-294-9236; the business licence on file carries a third, 051-293-6678. The 0507 number appears to be the one the shop publishes, so that is the one we list — but we have not rung it to check.
- You grill the meat yourself — exactly one writer says otherwise. Seven describe doing the work: turning, cutting, judging when to stop ("the marinated one catches, so keep turning it"; "I left this piece on too long and it went tough"). The staff advise rather than cook — one was told the ribs are best with a little pink still showing. But one September 2026 post says staff sear the meat from the start and keep coming back to turn it, so that the writer had nothing to think about. Whether that was one busy evening, a change of practice, or simply wrong, we do not know. Several writers note how fierce the charcoal is and how fast the beef cooks, so plan on a pair of tongs.
- In the evening you wait. Eight writers did; two walked straight in. The longest wait recorded is an hour and a half — with only three parties ahead, because a grill house turns its tables slowly — and one writer failed twice before getting in on her third attempt. One reports the room full by half past six even on a weekday, and several give the same advice: come at five. Five booked ahead; one explains that Naver takes reservations only for four or more, and only at 4:30, 5 or 5:30. How the queue is handled has changed. A December 2025 writer says there was no app and you wrote your name and number on a sheet at the door; another, the same month, says the shop had just started using one. By 2026 everyone joins the queue through an app. Two writers were given hot citron tea and a hand warmer while they waited, and two found a small gift arriving by messenger afterwards, sent to the number they had left.
- In twenty-nine posts the lavatory is never mentioned once. Whether it is inside the shop or out in the building, whether men's and women's are separate, whether it is cramped — we do not know any of it. This does not mean there isn't one. In a place where people grill beef and drink soju all evening there certainly is; nobody simply wrote it down.
- Not one of the twenty-nine came by bus or train. They all drove, or walked from nearby — the directions they give are landmarks for drivers and walkers: opposite the McDonald's, keep going down toward the Burger King, next to the CU. Nobody names a bus or a station. This is an eating lane in a new-town district, the sort of place locals walk to, which probably explains it — but we cannot tell you how far it is from any station. If you are coming without a car, look up the route before you set out.
- Whether to bring a child we can only half answer. One writer reports high chairs and aprons; nobody reports using one. Two came with children, and both say the child went for the marinated ribs — "if you're bringing a kid, order the marinated" — while two more recommend the lunchtime soup for children. But three writers mention how hot the charcoal makes it, one of them saying flatly that it was too hot. Factor that in if you are coming in summer with a small child. No post mentions a changing table.
