Sichilli Choi

시칠리 초이 Sichilli is a Korean clipping of Sicily, and Choi is the owner's surname (Choi Hyeok-jun, per a magazine interview) — Choi's Sicily.

A tiny Sicilian food counter at the mouth of Millak Golmok Market in Suyeong-gu, Busan (30 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro 277beon-gil). The signature is a bun filled with beef spleen and lung; alongside it come fried seafood, octopus-potato salad and arancini, with wine by the glass or Italian beer. The offal burger was 6,000 won in July 2026 posts and 7,000 won by September. A mid-July post says the place had been open three days, so it opened in early July 2026. We read 12 posts dated May to October 2026: one was an unrelated job listing and was dropped, one is an interview with the owner, and 10 describe actual visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Seating is minimal. Four posts describe where they sat. One counted three or four seats inside and two tables outside and called the place very small; another found a bar counter behind a cloth curtain. Two posts mention the outside tables facing the market lane. One visitor drank alone there, and one noted that the shopfront opens straight onto the alley.
  2. Two midsummer July posts said it was cool inside: one noted the inner bar seats sit right in front of the air conditioner, and the other moved indoors to escape the heat and found the air conditioning strong.
  3. The offal burger is rich. Of the six posts that ate it, three said it got heavy. One says the owner suggested squeezing lemon over it when that happens, and several found the lemon helped. One post noted no gamey smell at all.
  4. Three posts called the portions large. A couple who ordered two offal burgers were told at the till that most people split one between two; another couple shared one and found it packed with filling. One post also found the fried seafood generous for the price.

  1. Leave a review and you get a lemon granita: three posts received one that way. On the menu it is 2,000 won.
  2. Wine is sold by the glass. Three posts mention it, and July posts priced a glass of sauvignon blanc at 3,000 or 4,000 won. Three posts mention beer too (imports 7,000 won, Cass 3,000 won). One post says corkage is wine only, 10,000 won per table, and that soju, beer and soft drinks may not be brought in.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 9 posts

There is no parking. One post explains that the shop is inside a market, with no spaces out front and no partner lot; the nearest is the Millak Golmok Market public car park. Two other posts listing 'no parking' copied it from the listing, so we did not count them. Two visitors arrived by car.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

The only floor information is the '1st floor' in the address; no visitor wrote about it. A post saying the front opens onto the market lane suggests a street-level shop, but we have not confirmed it.

No one wrote about a step at the door or about wheelchair or stroller access — that means we don't know, not that there is none. One post notes you reach the inner bar seats by pushing aside a cloth curtain.

We don't know about toilets. One post warned that, being a market stall, a toilet may be hard to find, but no post says whether the shop has one.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices have gone up. July 2026 posts list the offal burger at 6,000 won and the fried seafood and octopus salad at 12,000 won; September posts have 7,000 and 13,000 won. One August post gave the burger as 7,500 won. Three posts still described the prices as cheap. A burger, a salad and a drink came to roughly 20,000-something won.
  • No post describes getting there by subway or bus. One says it is walkable from Gwangalli Beach and a short way in from the market's south entrance.
  • No post mentions waiting. One September post found the offal burger sold out.
  • Opening hours appear only as copied listing information. Six of seven posts give 11:00–22:00 (last order 21:00) with Mondays off, and four add Sunday 10:00–13:00. One July post alone lists Sunday as the day off and last order at 21:30. One post says the offal burger is not served on Sundays.
  • Two posts give the phone number as 0507-1380-0479. No one says whether reservations are taken.
  • An interview with the owner (he runs it alone, set prices by converting Sicilian prices at the euro rate, and planned a grilled-tripe stigghiola and an offal stew after Chuseok) is the shop's own account, so we did not count it. No post yet confirms the autumn dishes appeared.
